Charger1973

I got my new 73 projects home today.   I have a couple parts cars coming too, but they will be a while, they are in a building that has a snowdrift over the top of the roof.

The green SE is a 318 car.  Its all original but the motor is locked up and has been sitting for a long time.  Id like to keep it, but I dont really need that many projects...  My brother wants to buy it from me, but if that doesnt work out, I will end up keeping it.

The brown car has a 400 motor that hadnt ran in a year or so, but I put a little gas in the carb and it fired up. Its sounded great too.  The gas tank was completely empty because it has a hole in it so the first thing i get to do is replace that.  Its going to be my driver until my purple car gets finished.  I cant wait for summer now  :D

The driveway looks a little full now...    :punkrocka:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

If you count the parts cars...  6

Charger1973

One of the parts cars was a 40,000 mile original car (the 400/727 from this car is now in the brown car).  The owners kid took it out one night when they were gone and wrecked the front end on it.  The guy I bought it from got the title but never transferred it since it was wrecked, so this is still the original title from when they bought it new in 1973.   Pretty cool to see.  Mileage - 2    :icon_smile_cool:

Charger1973

Well it wont be his unless he pays for it.  Right now, its being used as parts storage until it gets warm enough for me to feel like cleaning it out.   :P

My progress of the last 2 days.  I have it almost ready to drive.  I just have to fix the leak in the gas tank tomorrow.  I put some gas in the carb though and it fired right up... man she sounds good.   :D    With any luck i'll be able to take it for a test drive tomorrow.

Thought you guys might like to see these I took today, I couldnt deal with the brown anymore...  so I decided it would look better in primer.  Its just a driver right now, and I dont want to have to drive around in a spotted car once I start the bodywork.   :P  I also added R/T taillights and a dual exhaust valance    :icon_smile_cool:   Im making progress.  Seems slow, but I guess I have only had the car for 12 days now..  so I guess its moving along pretty well.  I even had it out on the road the other day.  The drivetrain in it is from the wrecked SE and only has around 40,000 miles in it, she runs strong.   ;D

Also I checked the green SE and those are the original floor mats.  They have a mopar logo and part number on the bottom.   :2thumbs:
