Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd wish everyone a great Saturday night!

I was exempt from barn chores this evening   :shruggy:  (my In-Laws dairy farm) however I am in charge of dinner tonight.   :yesnod:

The children's movie, The Little Mermaid, is just about over, the steaks are on the Q and a drink is in order for everyone - for no particular reason!  The hockey game starts shortly and we'll vote after dinner to name the new puppy.

Perhaps I'll get some work done on the car tomorrow as I didn't get any done today.

What are your plans for tonight?

Whatever they are, enjoy!   :yesnod:

Cute puppy.  Name him Shakey :icon_smile_big:

Is that a Strawberry Margarita?

Anyways, although I'm Irish as they come and like to drink the brew.  I will be hanging right here with my 3600 closest friends.

Not a good day to go out, snow, wind, rain, ice make for a bad combination on this day.(being the green day and all)

I've been plowing all day and I'm pretty content to just sit right here and drink a couple and call it a night.

Wish I could have one of those steaks, that really sounds good.

Thanks for the well wishes and I hope you all have a happy healthy funfilled night! :icon_smile_big:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Having a few beers  Rest of the family is asleep :icon_smile_big:

That drink is a Caesar - Canada's answer to a Bloody Mary.   :drool5:

Vodka, clamato juice, worchester sauce, tabasco sauce and a hint of lime and a dolop of horseradish.

Completely forgot about the fact that it was St. Patrick's day until I saw Rocky's thread, hope he's doin' alright by now.

We got the weather here (North shore of Lake Erie) last night - things are clear now.

That's pretty much how I make my Bloody Mary's. Except the customer's choice of tomato juice or V-8. Try a couple drops of steak sauce in it.

Right click save.  Thanks Mike.  I'll be flooring someone with that drink in the near future :icon_smile_big:

Yeah, I think we lost rocky.  His updates just kinda stopped.  I'm sure he's fine... or will be tomorrow afternoon.

Have a good night.

Just taking it easy, watching March Madness and hoping my Hoosier can pull off a win and make it to the sweet sixteen.
I'm taking care of my wife who is wrought with morning sickness to its extreme- so much so that she has an IV drip in her to rehydrate herself.

Other than that, it's just a quiet night down here in the Florida panhandle.

I was gonna suggest that you call the dog Mary, but Caesar is good too, if that is what you are drinking.

Happy belated Saturday night!

I took the family to Disney on Ice in Hamilton last night.  :icon_smile_dead:
They enjoyed it.

Then out to dinner at our favourite place - M. T. Bellies in Welland.

They had a green beer party going on and Steak and Guinness soup as the soup of the day.

I passed on the green beer - that's for tourists - and had my favourite: Guinness!
They don't normally serve Guinness in that place, but they have Caffrey's Stout. So, I was surprised they had it when I asked.
But they brought me a can and a glass and not a pint from a tap.

That's how I drink it here at home. So, it was no big deal. But they must have been running out of beer glasses, because I got a milkshake glass.
It actually poured out okay but was too small to hold a full pint.

Slainte!

It was a good St patty day Saturday night.  I had some friends over to the mopad NCAA basketball on one TV NCAA Wrestling finals on the big screen, Crown and diet on the bar.  The wife went to visit her sisster in Louisville and I just woke up on the sopha bed at the mopad.  I know we played some pool but after that it gets a little fuzzy.  I know when I woke up I had a blanket the lights were off and some one cleaned up and did the dishes.  Ahh, it was a very good Saturday night.

My Wife, Mother-in-Law and Daughter (3) went to see that in Hamilton Saturday afternoon.  They had a really good time.

I stayed back with my Nephew (10) to keep an eye on my other Daughter (7 months) which is why I never got any work done on Saturday.  I did make up for it on Sunday though as I sprayed the Lizard Skin throughout the interior of my car.

So Shakey, what did you name your new pup? Mrs.Skip68 ;)

I don't think anything has been decided!   :rotz:

Here is why.  On Saturday, my Nephew (10) and I chose three names, Pepper, Boots & Socks.  We made ballots for everyone to vote for which name they liked best.  As we had dinner, my Wife and my Mother-in-Law choose names that they liked and wrote them on the ballot.  I told them that their ballots are void and their votes do not count.  Kristina (3), drew a snowman on her ballot and never did pick a name.  My Father-in-Law, well I don't think he even voted.  Pepper had two votes (my Nephew and myself) but we were told the dog (Beagle) will change colour (more white) as it gets older so now everyone is confused.  On Sunday, Kristina was still calling the dog "pet", I was simply calling her puppy and forgot about the whole ordeal.

We'll see by next weekend if my In-Laws have choosen a name.

skip68

That's too funny! :haha: :haha: Maybe your three year old did vote in her own way....., she just couldn't spell, so she drew the "Snowman!"
