Anyone know of any aluminum or carbon style b-body dash inserts that will fit a 73 se?  Thinking about going with all after market backlit gauges and update some of the look inside my car as I rebuild it.

Your going to have to go Custom for that my friend. Nobody makes much like that for our generations of car.

hmm,  i was thinking that.  Might need to find a solid block of hood and get funky with it.

Started to make one last night out of a thin sheet of plywood and fiberglass.  Going to paint it black.  Will post some pics it it looks good with the 2" gauges and switches I ordered last night.

I thought I saw somewhere that someone is or is going to make carbon fiber instrument cluster panels for 3rd gens. I think for that to be successful they would have to custom make each one with the buyers specifications of what gauges they want to use. You might want to try a thorough internet search. There was a guy selling custom made panels for 2nd gens on Ebay, they were just flat sheetmetal and they cut the right size holes in the right spots and used aftermarket universal switches and indicator lights. I don't think that lasted long though, probably because most people don't want to have to cut into the wiring for the universal switches.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.
