I'm sorry but you'll have to adhere to the standardized I hate the '06 Charger posting form.    ::)

Please remember that you must include a story about how you just happened to be strolling by the Dodge dealer and decided to look at a truck but there was a Magnum Sedan parked there so you just happened to walk by and then some silly salesman said something like "it's a hot car, want to check it out?" but you replied "hell no... Chargers got 2 doors - that thing sucks" and then the salesman magically shrinks to about 6 inches tall and says "yes, you're right", and then your child says "daddy, it's ugly.. that's not a Charger" and you say "let's get outta here - I have to go start a post about this" .      :D

A friend of mine took a loaded 2005 Hemi Magnum in on trade at the dealership he works at. I am not looking to buy a car but, I stopped and took it out for a spin anyway. Now here is the weird part...I am starting to like the '06 Charger lokks much better than the Magnum. That front on the Magnum just doesn't do it for me once I got a close look.

Still won't buy a new Charger BTW...just not a Magnum either.  Maybe someday a 300C.

You made $200 a car, who would pay $200 for it ?

The Magnum and that other thing look alike from the front, it's just something about the Magnum I like better. I think its the fact it dont have the Charger name on it.

73dodge

I kind of like em too.

Just disappointed they called it a Charger.

Wondering how many people on this site would like the car if it were called something else?

then on the way home, I saw one on the road. I had to pull up close to it to see how ugly it was and to show the poor sap driving it what a REAL charger looks like. I revved up my engine and passed him, which made me feel a lot better about myself.

somehow he caught me at the next light.  He pulled up beside me, my dog got out and pissed on his tire, I gave him the finger and told him "real Chargers have 2 doors".  His Wife spit in his face, got out and jumped into my car.  I flipped him off again, told him to "go f**k himself" and filled the air with a plume of smoke as I left him at the light wiping off his face.

Again, he managed to catch me at the next light (he must have one of those imaginary HEMI's under the hood) and as he pulled up he had a shocked look on his face as he could not see his ol' lady.  He asked me "where the hell is my Wife?"  Just then, she lifted her head from my lap and wiped her chin as I gave him the finger again and said "hey pal, nice Chagnum!"  My dog was flipping out in the back seat, barking and jumping up and down as we sped away, again leaving to smell my burnt rubber.

The Daytona was the SECOND new Charger I saw that day.  I also got a picture of the other one, but I was a little slow with the camera, as you can see.

Dang Andy, that is some hot sales.   I sold cars at a Mazda dealership in the early nineties, the average sales of cars was not that great, mostly because there just weren't enough customers coming in.

Does the dealership send people interested in Chargers to you because they know you have a Charger?   You tell them yours still runs great, good car, quality built, something like that?  "I highly recommend the Charger" (even though I hate the new one, to yourself).    You must be a great salesman.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

bull

AllHipHop.com: In regards cars, I heard the 71' Charger is your favorite car.

Funkmaster Flex: I'll tell you what, I have one of those. The Charger is my first muscle car that I got, like ten years ago. So it's got a special place in my heart. I have a 70' Chevelle that's pretty tough. I got a couple of Fords. I got a 67' Ford Galaxy. Ugh, let me think. Let me go through my Fords first. I got two 69' Mustangs, a 76' Torino, a 71' Torino, a 66', 67', 69', 70', 71', 73' Chevelle, two 68' Camaros, two 69' Camaros, a 65' Impala, a 63' Impala, a 69' GTO, a 69' Charger. I just copped a 69' Nova today. That's what I've just been doing all day, making sure this wire transfer goes through.

AllHipHop.com: How do you feel about Dodge reintroducing the Charger?

Funkmaster Flex: Um, a Charger is not supposed to have four doors. That's the part that's never sat well with me. The new Mustang, I think, is the new muscle car of the last two years. It captures old style of muscle cars.

http://www.allhiphop.com/features/index.asp?ID=1239 But then it says he owns one. Chrysler must have given it to him like they did Fiddy Cent.

yeah, we do get a lot of ghetto thugs in looking at the 06s,and its not color biased-just punk attitude, but when we sell them, its usually to an older male or couple, because they can afford it.

It's all the incentives. ;)

6pkrunner

GM is trying desparately to wean its customers off the incentives. They are dropping the MSRP. However, consumers like the employee's pricing and its going to be hard for them to get clear of it.

andy74

the funny thing is the chargers and magnums sell with little or no incentive(1000 if you finance with cfc,at a higher rate then most banks)while the trucks, durangos and vans need a big cah allowance.chrysler started the lower price deal on the 05 caravans,a comparable equipped 05 grand sxt was about 2500 less than a 04! its a good idea, but people still want to see the rebates, just a fact of modern day car sales
