Hello everyone,

I recently converted back to my original oil pan on my 440. I switch to a 7 QT Moroso 3 years ago and discarded my old oil pick up. Being a large oil pan, I constanly scrape it on road dips so I decided to put my old back on.

I had purchase a Melling 63-s3 but unfortunately is too long. It seems that it would be for a 5 quart instead of a 4 quart oil pan for Chargers. I guess for Chargers 68-70, the oil pan had to be shallow in order to accomadate the front end. Here's the thing, when I go to the Melling Web site and put in all the info I need for my year, make and engine, it won't show anything. When I put in all the same year, eng, but a New Yorker, it gives me the Melling 63-S3. Hence the Model difference and oil pans.

All of the local parts stores show the same Melling application. Year One suggest to cut it and thread the pipe. There has to be an aftermarket for an oil pick and for a 68 Charger with a 440 cu in engine.

QUESTION: Would anyone know where I can get the oil pick up needed or any suggestions please.
Thanks everyone.

this might be of some help........ Mopar performance list P4529565 as a stock replacement for a RB motor 1968 -72  . local dealer may have one off the shelf , to have a look at ...... to see if it is the one you need.

Great! I had just called a local dealer and they have to order it and it would take a couple of days. Confirmed that it is a kit for a 68-72 Dodge pick up screen. How did you ever find that out. I have been looking all over. Thank again
