I was in Chicago this weekend for a wrestling tournament, we were heading back to the hotel and looking for some place to eat.  The boys wanted McDonalds, I am eating healthy so I try to avoid McDonalds and other fast food establishments.  well I order a large diet soft drink and as I am walking to the car i notice they have a picture of a guy rubbing a 70 Challenger on the cup.  It says the guys name and he is a auto restorer and global casting blah blah blah.  It has no mention of the car but it is plain as day a 70 Challenger.  I got 5 of them every kid with a large drink had to give up his cup.  Did anyone else see these?

I don't eat at McDonalds anymore. I don't like having my rear main seal leak  :P

I agree with you on that. I will never eat at Mcdonalds.

I don't eat there and didn't Saturday but I did get some of the cool cups and was wondering if others had seen them are the regional?  I will have to see if we have them here in the Stlouis area.  I can get a full set for the Mopad then have some fine dining!

I have a 7 and a 10 year old so I am "persuaded" to go there all too often.  I haven't seen them here yet, but it's been a few weeks since we went there.  I'll check one day this week.  This would actually give me a reason to go there.

lol  Don't you know that no one with kids eats there?  The kids want to get the stupid toy and go nuts in the playland while the parents read the paper.

Noticed on the bag last week (yes I have a 7 and a 9 year old so McDonald's is part of their food group!)

Guy was out of California some where?

41husk

yep! I have it here in front of me but I did not see the bag, as I only bought a drink.  The guys name is Joseph, there is a circle with a *18 in it next to his picture.  It says Joseph Los Angeles CA U.S. Muscle car restorer, colector and Global Casting Star.  There is a picture of him waxing a 70 R/T Challenger with a website over the top  www.mcdonalds.com/globalcasting It just kinda took me by surprise.  What size does a picture need to be to post on here?  I will try to get it posted.

we should get Troy hooked up with the info.  Then he can get in touch and then...let the take over begin...we should all get Major discounts too...maybe Troy can get member cards, so when we walk into McD's we flas the card and they drop everything and cater to us.  We get all fresh food made the way we want it.  LOL  Man that would be nice.....

If DC takes over a Fast Food Chain at least make it a good one. That's right there isn't any good fast food. The cup thing is cool. I might have to stop in just to get a cup.

I want one, I want one, I want one......

Ok I'm really hungry for McD's right now but I hate the food there.   I used to work there when I was 16/17 and ran the whole place(not real fun for that age but they beat me) I really did run it though and turned a ton of smack every night(thursday football days were the worst). But...(i could eat 5 burgs, 2 cheeseburgs, a ton of fries, and 2 large cokes every day)
I'm really a Burger King guy though(but that dude on the TV scares me like spiders....ok clowns too, now you know)

I'm going off subject, but anyone relate here??

If it is a 73 he has a 70 grill on it with R/T emblems.  There was no R/T Challenger in 73, you could get a rallye in 73 and 74.  and they have the kayaker cup at my local McDonalds.  I wish I would have gotten more than 5 of them now.

sorry about the pics, I have to go to the media center here at school, have them take a picture and post it because I can't do any of it :'( They are doing a video presentation for all of the winter sports banquets, so that is a pretty big job.  I did edit the wrestling presentation for them that saved them some time so maybe they can get to it sooner.  I was told by the McDonalds manager said every Mcdonalds won't get every global casting star items.  They are on bags and large cups, he said some McDonalds may get the bag but not the cups ???  He said he would check for the one I want and save me some.  We have the Kayaker on our cups here as well.
