headliner insulation adhesive removal

i just removed the old headliner insulation.  what can i use to get the adhesive off??

I used sandpaper.  I got most of it off but there are still traces of it.

is there a removal adhesive spray that i can buy??

3m  & wurth  do a glue remover , but the length of time it has been on there ,  :rotz:  as this stuff is pretty much like a mix of deagreaser  & thinners ,  and thinners would not touch mine even scraping at it .


i sanded mine off with 40 then 80 grit with a D/A ,  :no: where ear defenders & don't push to hard or concentrate to long in one spot Plus do not use the edge of the of the D/A  or get the metal hot , other wise you will be  shrinking ,tapping & bondoing the out side of the roof skin for a couple of days days

I would use MEK or Toluleen or Acetone in that order most glue's use these as a base and will thin and remove the old stuff were gloves and use rags and don't get it in your eye's or plastic or on you Pretty harsh chemicals be careful.
