Getting any form of tactical shotgun in BC is very hard! By tactical I mean one with a pistoled grip... I'm currently trying to find the laws out about them myself. Just remember, the shotgun cannot hold more than 5 rounds....

QuoteIn 1995, the power of the Government to prohibit firearms "not reasonably" used in hunting was broadened.

Quote#  a semi-automatic, centre-fire rifle or shotgun with a barrel length less than 470 mm (18.5 inches) that is not prohibited;

# a rifle or shotgun that can fire when its overall length is reduced by folding, telescoping or some other means to less than 660 mm (26 inches);

Quotea rifle or shotgun that has been altered to make the barrel length less than 457 mm (18 inches) where the overall firearm length is 660 mm (26 inches) or more;

QuoteThe firearm of the design commonly known as the Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun, and any variant or modified version of it, including the Franchi LAW 12 shotgun

other than looking cool, that gun is basically useless.......unless your gonna be robbing banks, or gonna be a bounty hunter, i'd get a remington 870-----------

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

I've been saving pennies for one of these.  I probably won't be getting the camo version though. :yesnod:

That's a semi-auto, isn't it? A work friend had one similar that was stainless, one day we were shooting a couple 454 cylinder heads with 3" slugs...it would blast holes right through them! :icon_smile_cool:
That was a fun gun. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yup, 4+1 semi-auto.  I fell in love with it when the USMC adopted it a few years ago.  MSRP $1600 :scared:

That's either an 870 or a Mossberg 500.  You'd be suprised how much you use one of those puppies.  I've got a Mossberg with the pistol grip stock.  I use it all the time for hunting rabbits and prarie dogs.  It fits in the pickup a lot better than a full length shotgun, you can draw it much faster, and it's a lot easier to hit something out of of the pickup.  You can drive with one hand and shoot with the other which I defy anyone to do with a full length shotgun.

The mossbergs are also good if you're left handed.  They have the thumb safe on top of the receiver so they're more ambidextorous whereas the 870 has a button safe in the trigger guard.  The 870 is much harder to operate if you need to shoot with your left hand.  The mossbergs are also fairly cheap.  I picked up mine for a couple hundred bucks.  The 870's are more along the line of $400.  The 870 is higher quality but the mossberg is still a nice gun and won't let you down.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

We have certain laws... such as the shotgun has to be a certain length not to mention breaking the law by shooting from inside a vehicle which is highly illegal in this country!

The Remington 870 will run about $400 plus taxes....

yeah, I used to see those kind of things at the range when I worked there a lot...it's probably a remington 870 Express and you can find all that aftermarket stuff on the interent and most sporting goods catalogs have almost a whole page of accesories for those guns.

I've owned a few things like that though, and they're cool, but after awhile it was just kind of an expensive and cool looking ornament...they have very few practical uses...I sold all my guns that I didn't use regularly and bought some odds 'n' ends for my cars ;D :Twocents:

you can aim a rifle better than a pistol any day of the week! For hunting there is no reason to get rid of the buttstock at all, even if you only plan on target practice. I know the rod and gun club here in BC wouldn't even let you bring that onto their field.
