:scope:looks a pretty good project .   :scratchchin: i think if i had some think like that , i would  stuff a BOSS 429 motor & a four speed in it , i know it would not be original but .. make a grand national  clone

Oh yeah, they need a Cale clone for the aero meets.  It's probably been done, but from the perspective of my isolated little Mopar world, it's a good idea.

I don't have any idea what the car is worth but it doesn't look like a tough rebuild  :popcrn:

The Boss Nine won't fit.    The shock towers are in the way.   If only Ford had put the Boss 429 shock towers in the cars, they would have a completely different following.

There is a fellow in California who has built up his Talladega into a Grand National clone with a 600HP Boss 429, 4-spd and lots of mods throughout the car.   It's currently about half way between a street car and a stock car.

That Dan Spoiler II on Ebay looked very solid.  I'm surprised there were no bids on it.   Spoiler II's that aren't rusty and are complete are TOUGH to find.    $10k for that car is not a bad deal.

Unless you have a 500, then you could argue that the Talladega and Spoiler II exist because of you.

69_500

I believe that the Talladega and the Cylcone Spoiler II's were in the same first race for a 500 weren't they? As the first race for a 500, it lost to a Talladega didn't it? Due to a tire change with only a few laps to go?

:iagree:   as far as i know   the ford pit crew put a softer front tire on it , that was the reason that ford won that race. :icon_smile_sad:
