ADVICE NEEDED, SOMEONE TRIED TO RUN ME OFF THE ROAD

Hey,

I thought you guys maybe able to advise me.  About 2 hours ago, I was driving down a side street in my neighborhood when this GIANT SUV  comes flying onto the street then moves right into my lane and starts driving at me.  Mind you this is not the charger, it is my daily driver.  I slam on the brakes pulled as far over as I could and start honking and flashing my lights but the guy is driving right at me.  Last second he swirves misses me by inches then turns on a street.  The hole time my girlfriend is screeming, I yell wtf and dial to local Police to report it, I turn around to see where he went but he had turned around too to come find me.  A few seconds later I see him so I am on the phone with the cops, tell them the make model color of the vehicle, then try to get a plate number, but then I look and the bulbs are removed from the plate holder and it had no rear license plate.  It turned onto a dead end so I am smart not to turn there I keep going, watch it turn around in my mirror, so I turn around in a driveway and keep heading down the street to find it while on the phone with the cops.  I then turn on another street where I see it turn into a parking lot to turn around, so I keep going and get stopped by a train.  By this time the guy recognizes the car (I forgot it sticks out pretty bad) and pulls behind me at the train.  I am like shit, the cops tell me the officers are stuck on the other side of the train.  He turns around and starts gunning it back the other way, I tell the police dispatch who is still on the phone and then they are like officers will be looking for him.  So then I go to drive home after turnning around, I see a few cops searching in the area, and I get a few blocks from where the incident happened and I SEE IT IN A DRIVEWAY.  So I dial the dispatcher back, report the address and within seconds see the cops get there.  I then go into my friends house and turn on the police scanner.  We here the cops come on and say the driver of the vehicle reported it was a "MOTORIST DISPUTE"  THEN THEY GIVE A DESCRIPTION OF MY CAR (AS I SAID IT STICKS OUT) ANNOUNCE THE MAKE AND MODEL OF MY CAR OVER THE POLICE RADIO AND SAY NOTE, IT HAS A VERY LOUD EXHAUST.  So now I am about to drive home and I know the cops are after me now?  WTF? Worst of all is the guy was behind me at the tracks, now knows my car and probably the plate number.  But I know his address....I figure he is going to look for me to get revenge or something.  WHAT SHOULD I DO???  I know some people at the local PD so I think I am going to go there tomorrow and explain what happened, but should I file a complaint against this guy and take him to court or something?  What do you guys think?  Anyone ever had anything similar.  I just don't want the guy to come find my car and mess it up or something.

Just contact your local law enforcement reference the incident and they will take it from there on wether to press the issue.Any citations issued will be a he said,she said but atleast Law Enforcement will be made aware of the subjects driving manners plus if lord forbid it shall continue it will be noted.

Maybe they wanted to ask you some questions is all, get more information.  Maybe you weren't being sought by the police for actually being in trouble for anything.     Ya, worrying that they might get your cars later is not fun, they probably had a stolen vehicle and have plenty of other things to worry about, you didn't really do anything to them sounds like, if it was a stolen SUV and they were messing around like that, they prob. have done that to others, wouldn't worry about it that much

just my advise.
go talk to your coppper buddies, and tell them what happend, and in my state...YOU can also ask to issue a summons for reckless or careless driving... but you'll have to go to court and testify...cause your the complianant, not the cops!!!
let us know what happens.....

LOL! I had that happen to me once, I burned a u-turn and chased em down like a dumbass but lost em..no telling if they had a gun or not, but I would have pulled him out of the truck and beat his head in..stupid..but I was a kid

I understood that, but roadrage doesn't equal murder in my book and stating you illegally own a shotgun on a public forum doesn't sound very smart to me...

i understand what you are saying... but not to discredit any members or anything... but i could also tell everyone on here i have  a 1 of 1, 65 kabillllion dollar car!!!!  kinda like when you meet someone on line .. and their pic looks like pam anderson... but when you meet her in person.... I do understand, seen his debacle with the modtop Daytona, that his credibility is low, it's just that that was one of the stupidest things to say. I am just glad it's just talk. I hope he grows out of the lying being a cool badass phase soon. It's getting old...

Yeah I pretty much and letting it slide right now.  I talked to some friends in the PD and they said that if I want something done I'd have to go to court.  I don't have time for that shit.  Now that I know where the guy lives though if anything happens to my car or something I know whose front door to beat down with a bat......

  I remember a thread on cops and weed or something a while ago on here, people were talking all about how they grow pot, etc., someone even posted a pic of themselves, standing in the middle of a patch of some of their outdoor crop,    if I was doing that I prob. wouldn't do that, but it didn't seem like a big deal everyone admitting to that, and a few cops were posting on the thread too (not about themselves growing) , I didn't figure anyone was going to track anyone down to bust them.  Someone somewhere had a "shotty", they said that on some site online somewhere?  Don't think anyone really cares.
