I recently bought something from an ebay seller, and paid for my item with paypal, only to look at my ebay page today and see that he is no longer a registered user.  I am not sure what I should do about it.  Its not a huge deal, I only spent about $10 but I didnt expect that from this seller, he has 10,000+ feedback score and 96% positive, member since feb 2002.

I know contacting ebay is useless, should I try and wait it out?  If the guy is no longer registered on ebay, whats to say he even has my info anymore?  Should I file a paypal claim?  Im not sure what to do really.  Anyone else been through this and have any advice?

Be patient for a couple of days, it could be a problem in the process of being worked out. Recently I was watching an item I was going to bid on from a seller that I have bought from before, & actually met in person. He was a nice guy & someone you can trust. There were several days left on his auctions, but when I went to check on the status of the one I was after, he was no longer a registered user. Since I had his email address saved, I sent him a question asking what had happened. His reply was that someone hacked his account, so he contacted ebay to close it by unregistering. A couple of days later it was registered again & working.

By the way, I continued watching the auction & bid, but lost.   ::)

I'd still send an email to the seller & contact ebay just to get the ball rolling. Ebay has a habit of draaaaaaaagging things out just a bit.
