So I have this remote trunk opener I want to install. Does one side gets grounded and + goes to battery through switch?

solenoid gets ground by chassis. The button switchs is a positive switch getting power from any acc source ( or direct batt if you want ) at one prong and the other one runs to the solenoid

Yes that's what you said.

I had one from a 77 Cordoba I mounted on a 68. Bolted wright in place. Kept wanting to blow fuses tho. Is there supposed to be a relay that the switch wire is attached to first?
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

The solenoid was gummed up and sticking when I pulled it appart. Cleaned and lubed it before installing it but it still gave me problems. Must have just been worn out.

could I test it by applying + to the contact and grounding body to the - side of the battery, would that hurt anything
