Just a Little Big Sugar History... Big sugar came out of Toronto in the early 90's Hard hitting Blues based music that progressed into a Rock Blues Reggae mix. The Front man Gordie Johnson happens to own a number of mopars and released a lot of they're albums with Mopar front covers. These Guys rocked Hard for a decade then broke up to persue other ideas. Canada Waits patently for the reunion.

Hence my Handle on here from the second video! Thats the song that got me into this band 25 plus shows later I still can't get enough of the SUGAR! Its really too bad they split! Thx for posting those Ron. Ride like hell was shot in Detroit & the car is a friend of Gordies so I've been told. Gordie has a sweet collection thats for sure..his dad was a salesman for Chrysler in Alberta?? & Gordie was hooked as his old man came home in some nasty muscle back in the day.

Awesome!!!! Been a while since I have seen that stuff. I've got a cool poster from the Hemi-vision tour with the '70 on it, band inside, and a big speaker strapped to the top, I'm gonna try and get scanned in the next week or so -- I'll post.

Without a doubt, Big Sugar is/was my favorite band!
I was extremely lucky to have seen them live in a pub in Fredericton, New Brunswick a couple of years ago. Little did I know at the time I wouldn't have the chance to ever see them again, so I count myself as lucky.
And the fact that the lead singer/guitarist Mr. Johnson, is a died-in-the-wool Mopar enthusiast was just icing on the cake.
The Charger engine revving the lead in to "Brothers and Sisters are you ready"....is worthy of cranking it up fer sure!!!

Oshawa is certainly big with GM being the main employer but all three are in Windsor in one form or another along with the spin off industries.

I have been searching for some Big Sugar music on E-Bay. I collect vinyl and would love to find some of their LP's or 7" records.
They are really good! I have a 3rd gen so I really think they rule.
Thanks for turning me onto some good music !
How can I get one of those 7" records on white vinyl with the Rally on the cover? I would frame that and hang it in my living room !

Finding the white vinyl is slim to none these days as the band is no more. Ebay is the best venue thats for sure but after hanging on the Big Sugar Message board for years now people do point them out on ebay occaisonally. A few of the members on there have quite the collection of vinyl. I just have some setlists, signed photos so I can't help you out.I'll do some diggin for you if you'd like as I know a guy on the East Coast of Canada who is always finding that kinda thing.

HA! The '72 SE in the first video looks like mine ;D   I like the first song a lot too :yesnod:

The '73 SE has '72 tail lights and a '75 and up shifter. I just happened to notice that.

Is not a 73 SE is a 74 SE....

BTW on my 74 Mopar parts catalog shows THAT'S the shifter on 74s... probably laters were, since my catalog is April.
