Those of you running them, what are you using for an air filter- an oem type reproduction or aftermarket?  If its aftermarket, what is it?

I'm running a K&N filter on my 6-pack.

K&N. They were the only option for a long time. Fram had started making them again but stopped so finding anything original is a nightmare.

I do see that there's a guy on Moparts making reproductions. Don't know anything about them but I'm tempted (the K&N just looks obviously wrong).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Oh?  I wasn't aware that Fram had stopped again.

Even when Fram was making them recently I don't believe they were factory correct - but they also weren't $250 and they looked a whole lot closer to stock than a K&N. If I had needed them at the time I'd have bought a case!

Oh, here's the new repros:

Other sites seem to have a discount code - I guess we aren't that special.

Hmm, maybe we'll have to contact him about that.  Or we could become "dealers" and get that pricing.

Don't know if it's the same as the one posted above but mancini carries a fram/OE style. But the price is ridiculous!  :o

I know it doesn't look original but I personally like the look of the K&N filter and its a 3rd of the price.   :Twocents:

That's made by the company I posted above. For a $25 markup.

I liked the look of the K&N over the stock Fram as well for my purposes.  :yesnod:

Funny since I'm usually happy to run a K&N filter but for these ones I prefer the look of the oem style.

It seems that if you want a regular driver, you'd want a K&N.  Otherwise, use the stock one.  I don't think those that drive theirs regularly would want to spend almost $200 for a filter when doing general maintenance.

Ghoste

They aren't 200+ though, they are 125.  Still a lot but nearly half of the other.

One of my "Race" friends swore the stock filter flowed better.  :scratchchin: (On a six pack at the drags.)

I wonder what Bob K. is running?

I got mine from this company.

I bought it because it was green to match my car. Can't remember the name but it was at Carlisle in the manufacturers midway a tire/rim place was selling the oval filters , taller than stock too. I can't find it listed in the web site though? :shruggy:
