Theres a junkyard in Ontario thats going to crush all its car by April 2008. the link for the junkyards website is http://www.roblins.net/
or just google Roblins Garage.  Everything is forsale and the ones that arent sold get crushed. They got at least one Charger and bunch of Mopars.  And a bunch of non Mopars.

Hey 69bronzeT5, how close are you from them?

Shakey

I was there last year and to be honest, not much will be missed.

There were a bunch of Magnums, Cordobas and a few Darts & Dusters, but nothing that really had the wow factor.  The yard is run by a cantaknerous old coot who questioned me as to why I was even considering changing a drum brake car to a disc brake car.  I bit my tounge as I had a pile of wise ass answers for him and after hangin' out with him for 10 - 15 minutes in the yard, I got a few laughs from him.  Don't get me wrong, not a bad guy but you'd need some patience to deal with him.

I'll try and make it back there after the snow is gone, after the mud is dried up and before the weeds get 1.5M tall again and get some pics.

I live in Ontario as well ......  where is Demorestville anyway?   Is it near anything I might know.

I don't think it's in the southwestern part, I've never heard of it either.

Back N Black

We are located in South-Eastern Ontario, Canada between Belleville and Kingston. The easiest way to find us is from Highway 401. Take HWY 401 to Exit 566 at Marysville. Take HWY 49 South. You will pass a Sunoco Gas Bar on the left and you will come to a 4-way stop. Proceed through the stop sign and continue. You will go over a large bridge into Prince Edward County. Once you cross the bridge, you will want to take the 2nd side road on the right hand side (Fish Lake Road). Travel 2 miles down Fish Lake Road, and we are located on the left hand side. You can't miss it. Should you get

Old Moparz

There is a photo of a 1969 Valiant on there in the Plymouth gallery. It looks as though it still has the grille & turn signals, which are the same one's used on the 1969 Daytona Charger. Someone who's close enough should at least get them, or get them for someone who could use them.

Play nice.  Google for tracking posts on message boards can be very informative.

LMAO Anyways, why are you crushing everything? Nice to have you here!

Roblins

Lawrence (the 'old coot' in question) turns 70 in 2008.  There is no one to take over the yard.  He has no children.  I am his nephew and run the website out of Toronto, however I have my own career.  If I could afford to I would take over the yard and keep it, run it, etc.

Yes it is true, there is not a lot of wow factor here.  This is a farming community.  Out of over 900 cars, there is only 1 Lincoln and 7 Cadillacs.  Mopars and FOMOCOs dominate the yard as GM never did well in this area and there were 2 Chrysler dealerships serving a Community of under 20,000 people for decades.

There are NO hemis here.  The last hemi was sold over 10yrs ago and it was a truck motor out of a '60 Dodge 2 ton.  There are also no 440s here.  They have all been sold years ago.  We did have a '68 Roadrunner (rollover) and a '71 Charger Superbee - both are long gone.  Minaker's had a lot of Mopar as well, but they crushed up last year.  They had 3,000 cars back to the 1920's including a lot of 1971-74 Chargers.  I honestly don't remember if they had any 66-70 Chargers, though.  Anything that is here is a parts car at best.  Nothing really is special enough in Mopar to be the basis of a restoration unless you're into Dodge Magnums

The garage was started in 1930 and cars began to be parked in 1958 for the sole purchase of fixing cars cheaper using used parts where possible.

I am thinking that is what they are trying to do, but they can only do it for so long.

Well, if it comes down to the time where they have to sell the cars really fast...then Egag would be the best bet.

That's why we made the announcement on the website in the summer of 2006 - to give people all the time in the world to get what they want.  We've sold quite a few cars so far....but the website is still up-to-date.  Don't worry, it's not like we have a deposit on the scrap or any scrap metal company has even been contacted for quotes or timing.

Do we need to know exactly what we need / want?

Or are windows shoppers with a trailer and money welcome. :icon_smile_big:

I see some older cars that would be fun to rat rod out. Plus. There is something about just walking around a old yard that I love.

*edit* also, these cars have titles / transferable registration available?

You may wander the yard unaccompanied.  Until it dries up, you will forced to walk on foot or stay on the laneway.  If you do not heed the warning, it is NOT FREE to have your vehicle removed from the field.

These vehicles DO NOT have ownerships but here is the process.  We can have the last ownership reproduced from the Ministry of Transportation.  We sign an affadavit that we have owned the car with such-n-such VIN since such-n-such date purchased from such-n-such person.  This is accompanied by the wrecker's log book which also shows all this information.  Once notorized, a new ownership can be made.  We did this for a '59 Olds and others.

No one has bought and dragged anything across the border, so consult US Customs if you can bring a junker into the US at Detroit, MI, Niagara, NY, Buffalo, NY or Watertown, NY
