I took a quick trip up to Beijing this weekend and had a great time. I didn't see any Chargers but I did do some KILLER shopping  :icon_smile_big:

Here's a few shots of Ten ah Men  Square, Summer palace, Forbidden city and a Pal and I at the top of the great wall at Badaling

      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

Yes!...but we didn't stop in, no time

TK you're right about starbucks...and the Chinese don't like it being there

bull

How was the Chinese food there? ;D You probably could have picked up a crapload of reproduction Charger parts like quarter panels, valances, consoles, etc., for next to nothing.

I'm actually surprised this thread was started by you rather than Shakey. :nana:

Nice pix, that wall must be pretty intense in person, I know I'd like to see it. A Starbucks doesn't surprise me, they're everywhere. Was there another Starbucks across the street from it?  :D

"...and if you walk to the end of the block, there sits a Starbucks. And directly across the street -- in the exact same building as that Starbucks -- there is... another Starbucks. There is a Starbucks across the street from a Starbucks! And ladies and gentlemen, THAT is the end of the universe." - Lewis Black

How long did it take you to hike to where the wall pic was taken? Looks like it goes up a couple thousand feet.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Wow, looks beautiful, Thanks for the pics.

Chief I think by the looks of the shot of the Great Wall behind you, I think you can get a "pass" on your next PT test!

Yup, it was a hike took. was about 2000 feet high and took about 45 minutes. I did get a little tired but when you see 70 Y/O Chinese women coming down as your climbing up there's NO WAY I wasn't going all the way to the top  :yesnod:

Here's a few more, food and wall and temples and such

Unless they decide to wake up & fix their smog problem, I doubt there will be very many 70 Y/O's doing that in about 40 more years. ::)
