I asked this on Moparts but didn't get much response. I removed the carpet from my 74 Ralleye and it's a one piece molded carpet (blue). I've ordered new carpet sets for both of my 74 Chargers and they came as two piece sets. It's okay now since I will be using them as drivers for awhile but I may be restoring the Ralleye in the next four years and thought I'd better look for the correct carpet now. Did most of the 74's come with one piece carpet sets. Any idea where to get a one piece molded set? Thanks

I have never seen any factory carpets for the 3rd gens in 1 piece.I thought factory and aftermarket were all 2 piece.

I bought the car in 1987 with the carpet that is in it(80/20 loop). One person on Moparts checked his 74 Ralleye after removing the seats and his original carpet is also one piece. Maybe a one year only thing or maybe only a one color or assembly plant thing. I've never encountered this before. I've checked a few vendors and they only selll the two piece sets. Thanks!

71-73 are loop pile two pieces carpet from factory
74 are cut pile one piece carpet from factory

repros or OEM are on same way, check for any restore dealer and will check that ALL have 74 carpet listed as one piece cut pile, however you can choose an earlier one without problem... you have the option so you can choose

IMHO 2 pieces loop pile looks better

Down here in Venezuela All years wee two pices loop pile so I keeped it on same way

OK checked on YR1 website and now they are two piece, but I'm sure all or at least mostly 74s were one piece cut pile and YR1 had them on that way some time ago, because that's the reason I choose the earlier kind

I checked Year One and Paddocks for the one piece sets in loop or cut pile and they both offer either in two piece sets. I compared the original carpet to the new sets i've purchased and it is definitely loop and not cut pile. It just goes to show that nothing was always  kept the same back when these cars were built. I'll keep the original carpet stored for awhile as its not in bad shape and still has the original part number tag and manufacturer name on it. It was just starting to unravel in a couple of spots. Thanks

I'm checking paper 2004 YR1 catalog and they state cut pile were ON PIECE from factory

Editing:

2006 YR1 catalog states the same... originals cut pile were one piece

Year One does say in their online catalog that the originals were one piece but their replacements in both loop and cut pile are two piece molded. It will be interesting to see if the 74 set is ever offered in the original one piece set as these cars become more collectible. It sure is easier to install the two piece sets, but it would be nice to have a one piece set as the original is.

I'm, pretty sure somebody had them... dunno if was Auto custom carpets. In their website they states 71/73 loop pile and 74 cut pile, but doesn't state about pieces.
They also states if you need a custom piece you can contact them. Dunno if is just about colors.

Maybe Legendary ???
