I always wanted to see what a 69 charger would look like with a set of $4,000 I forged wheels. Damnit now I want some for mine.

i liekd it b4 it gots his restomod :yesnod: white with black top and red interior 383/727 colum with big BFG T/A's with slot mags :icon_smile_big:

Corellian Corvette

I don't like the stance. Paint job I can go either way, but Chargers (IMHO) don't look that good slammed. They need to have a slight nose-down look to make them mean.

Rocky

The car looked damn fine before he "modified" it.  I don't really care what people do to their cars, but it looks like he choped up a fine example of a nice car to make his changes.  Don't get me wrong though, it is a great looking car.

Holy killer looking Charger, I hope it isnt a trailer queen now.

RT DAVE

I could do without the front spoiler.  I think this is much better than what he started with.

Don't mind the spoiler - not crazy over those little lights though. Not crazy the way the 2 tone paint scheme follows the contours on the side. Rather see it all silver with a black vinyl top -- or even if they just got rid of that little spike that comes down to the door scallops. Not diggin the interior much.

Meh looks like nice work , just not quite my thing.

TripleBlackGator

I'm not a big fan of "FOOSED" two tones or dark wheels either. The red custom interior just makes me wanna  :puke:

In general it looks good, & other than the wheel & tire set up, I like it. :2thumbs:

I'm not really into the layout of the colors on the paint & interior, & the rear tail stripe on the two tone paint is tough to look at without thinking it isn't finished.

Not the way I'd do it but it's not bad - I kinda like it.   I'd have used a different accent color than red.

Dare to be different!  :icon_smile_cool:

Im not a big fan of the Foose two-tone action either. I think this Charger has some pretty good lines though. How the tail stripe is the start of the red pinstripe. Alot of thought went into this hot rod for sure.

Charger_Fan

I like it a lot! :yesnod:

The pro's;

  • Color combination
  • Metal chin spoiler (although I would have painted it grey or black)
  • Exhaust cutouts in rear valance
  • Beautiful contoured, smooth filler tray between grille & radiator!
  • Smoothed inner fenders, made to go well with suspension changes
  • It's his car & he made it how he wanted, I wish it was me!

The con's;

  • Rolling stock needs to be smaller (hasn't the wagon wheel thing died yet?)
  • Driving lights need to be sunken into front valance opening
  • Most of the interior (I like the gauges, the rest can go)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

my69

NAH don't like it.

Should have left it alone.  ::)  Looks like he didn't want a '69 charger huh?

terrible one

I remember a long time ago, maybe a year or two back, I read a short article in a magazine about this car. It was talking about how the car had been stolen and the guy had just gotten it back and was going to start it's restoration. Included in the article was one of the sketches that is on the website.

Did they move the inner wheel well?

Looks like it retains the inner half of the wheel well but hard to tell if it was moved inward or not. If it is it isn't by much. You can shove a ton of rubber under the rear of these cars even in stock form.. That outer half though...now that has been fabbed deeper and the outer radius removed to allow it to sit down on those wide tires. Look how close it comes to the patch panel lines vs the stock wheel well.  Nice work really.

I think it looks awesome! It is well done...except for that front spoiler. If needs about a inch more clearance though as it is a tad bit slammed but not much.
I seeing different mopar builds like this instead of the same thing all the time. But dont get me wrong, a well done resto is still nice!

69Coronet

Dont know about the rest of you but i cant stand to look at a car that dosent have stock rims or Cragars on it. except for the wheels and interior it looks alright.
Its no disgrace being poor.  Its just inconvienient.

Some cars lend themselves well to modifications like old Fords from the 40's and 30's or modern day ricers.  Other cars were pretty much perfect the way the way came and should be left alone like the 1st three generations of Charger.  Just an opinion though.

Well said.

I like it, I also think the Charger arrow on the valve covers are a nice touch. The car was well designed and not something slapped together over time. As a hotrod I love it, I can appreciate both the originals and the modified one. I myself would go a little bit more stock looking on the outside, but hey each to each ohw. Overall an awesome car :2thumbs:
