A friend of mine sent me that same add a few days ago.    There is no doubt that it is my black car.  xx29l9b414652  ,,, next no,,,after the copper color car  from NC.,, that Rob at Silver creek concrete has.
A brief history lesson,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,XX29L9B414652,came off the transport at Century Motors,,,Winipeg,,,,,,,,,,,Very soon it was turned into drag race car by century motors. 440 out,,Hemi in,,steel nose gone fiber glass on,,,,,,,,top cut out of tran,, hump. to change tran, from top,,ETC,. Was run by a Mr Ross & a, Mr Wakeman forCentury  motors,,,,After 2 or 3 years the car was put up for sale.
THIS IS THE TIME PEROID FOR THE NEWSPAPER ADD<THAT THIS STORY IS ALL ABOUT,
Car was bought by Dennis Darling, ( I talked to him a few weeks ago) Dennis ran car 2 or 3 years , then sold it off piece at a time. Went thru couple more owner's before i found it in a barn. The car now lives in Missouri,, has gone thru a complete and mind bogleing expensive restoration.

    That's my story,,and I'm sticking to it-------------3--daytona

Does Bill Veens still have that old Mopar graveyard at the back of his property?

Definitely an Old Timer

A bunch of old junk really, I don't think any muscle cars though anymore. Last time I was there (fall 2007) I was checking my dad's old 1972 Imperial as I had just bought a '73. The '72 was becoming at peace with the ground and very little was left that was useful to me.

Wasn't there a 72 or 73 Cuda there at one time?  And something like a 66 or 67 Satellite?

I don't think so. Neither Bill nor I were ever particularly E body fans so I can't imagine Bill paying for one. I'll ask him though. Now I was really a fan of '66 and '67 Satellites - as you may recall, I had that '66 Hemi Satellite - but we never did have a parts car for it. We did have a '67 GTX, but it was sold whole.

I'll ask Bill if there is anything of interest there, but you should harbour no hopes about outstanding "barn" finds - we would not have left a J code Charger just sitting out to rot.

Mostly Bronzy just wants pictures of rusty Mopars for his website.  ;)

The Superbird VIN #RM23V0A173747 that was mentioned here, I bought 20 years ago and have been restoring. This car was sold in St Thomas and I was able to get all the documentation thru a friend from the dealership. I was also able to meet with Billy Veens and he took me thru some of the car's early history. I have most of the parts now to finish the car and it has taken longer as I wanted original parts. Bought a original rear window plug as the original was cut out crudely. I will get some pictures up shortly.
