Here's some early to mid 70's ROCK stuff not the pop/soul/RB posted above

Look for English bands influenced by the blues: Savoy Brown, Humble Pie, Foghat, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin. American: Allman Brothers especially Live at the Fillmore

Bangers: Deep Purple (Machine Head, Made in Japan), Black Sabbath (Paranoid), Uriah Heep

American kick ass: Alice Cooper (Killer through Billion Dollar Babies), Blue Oyster Cult (Secret Treaties), Grand Funk Railroad (up to "American Band" especially 'Mark, Don and Mel' for a nice overview) certain Black Oak Arkansas

Canada- Rush, BTO

Just for the fun of it: Frijid Pink, early Queen (pre night at the Oprah especially 'Sheer Heart Attack'). Some people get into Pink Floyd pre Dark Side...I can't.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

mikesbbody

thank guy's and mike that's quite a impressive list! the funny thing is im surprised how many i recognise (maybe there's hope fo me yet) im just so sick of the so called music we get these days...sure, its not all bad but there's alot of crap too.

mikepmcs

I'm with you brother!!! Always good music no matter what year.  Whatta you like to hear, that's what I say, whatta you like to hear.
I'm partial to most those bands, but OZZY is my god!

S A TUR DAY Night.  S A TUR DAY Night.

Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.
So who's in this Pentavirate?
The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, and Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee beady eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"

Dad, how can you hate..the...colonel

Because... he puts an addictive chemical in it that makes you craave it fortnightly smaaaart ass!!!!

Hell yeah, I have that on Vinyl. They played a show here in Cleveland last year. I think it was at "The Bloody Knuckles/Brave Words 6 Pack Weekend Fest".
This guy that has this Cleveland Metal Zine', "Brave Words/Bloody Knuckles" puts the Fest on once a year and has some awesome bands play some one time appearance shows.
That reminds me, how can I forget 80's metal icons "Candlemass"  :METAL: :METAL:
They played the fest 3 years ago & did an acoustic set the day before the set at "Alice Cooper's Town" Sports Bar here in Cleveland. Acoustic Candlemass, and I got my Vinyl signed ! It was a 10:30 in the morning show !
