If you have 70 340 "J" heads you have T/A heads, however don't confuse 71-up 360 "J" heads (standard issuse),.................the T/A heads were based on preproduction castings of the soon to be released 360 production heads, this gave the factory the ability to alter the pushrod location, you'll need the factory rocker arm/ shaft /pushrod assys, as these are unique to the T/A heads, if you have them? .....the ports intake/exhaust are the same as standard 340/360 castings, the pushrod holes were relocated to allow for oversized porting techniques, without having to worry about breaking through the port walls,...............the later 340/360 "J" head will have the smaller !.88 intake valve, eariler "X" heads, and T/A "J" heads will have the 2.02 intake valve...............other than the pushrod relocation, there is no significant difference between the X & J heads.............unless your building/restoring a T/A-AAR,...............rereleases of the T/A head are available from Mopar performance
