In Duponts Chroma color system , whats the difference between Basemaker and a urethane reducer? Can you use the reducer in  pinch? Thanks in advance, Dan :icon_smile_big:

I would stick to what is in the p sheet and do not deviate

Basemaker is just what it implies. Its the reducer for the base coat. (PPG its called Reactive Reducer) The Urethane Reducer is for the Clear Coat.
On your second question. Yes it can be done, but its better to mix everything the way its intended. I know people that get away with it. But to mix it right, dosent cost that much more and you wont have to worry about somthing going wrong with your paint job.
