They'll give him and Oscar to make him feel better about being a loser otherwise. He can put it in the trophy case next to his red "2nd place 2000 presidential election" ribbon and his "Father of the Internet" award.

just wait till they try and ban anything over a 4 banger.  If they had their way,  gas would be $10 a gal and we would all be in jail for the cars we drive.

Did anyone see his movie?  I must say it was one of the most boring things I have ever seen.  The info was not bad I just can't believe he got an oscar for that presentation.  I bought Dirty Mary Crazy larry, on sale at the mall and watched it for the first time.  Much better viewing and a better story than Bullet.  Was that 69 sassy grass or sublime?  Ilike that color.

I cant ever watch any sort of award shows. It's basically show biz people giving each other handjobs over how great they are.

As for Al Gore  winning an Oscar...predictable. You have to live and hang around in Hollywood to fully realize how zealously liberal that industry can be. And I'm not saying that from the paranoid right wing wacko perspective *cough* bull *cough*. Every year they pick a cause or two and anything having to do with them wins just about any award so Hollywood can redeem itself by showing to the world how compassionate and socially conscious it is. In the 80's and early 90's it was AIDS, then it was retards, last year it was homos, and now its Global Warming and the War.

Its got a hair trigger, dont worry about it none...
Still, Al's comedy is pretty good, his politics and social thinking scares the #@!& out of me. Stick to self depricating humor Al, makes you more human....Youd never see ol Slick Willie trashing himself for a couple of yucks...

What was interesting to me Mojo was when I spent 2 months working at CBS driving around Hollywierd I was absolutely amazed at how many big stinkin SUV's (Hummers, Expeditions and Suburbans) there were driving around on the roads. And usually the people driving them was a petite blond who was all by herself in those things. I mean in poor ole Cleveland there are not too many people that can afford to fill those things up let alone afford to buy one. And the people who end up buying those big trucks or SUV's usually have the backs loaded up with tools and parts because they use those trucks to make money in their business or it is because the woman driving the suburban usually has 6-8 of her own kids riding around in it.

But Hollywierd is full of self aware liberals who care about the planet and care about the underclass in society, yeah right! :puke:

Look Global warming is a religion and Al Gore is the pope preaching against the sin of man made Global Warming. And you heathens better stop driving your big bad internal combustion engines because you are destroying the god of earth. In order to achieve salvation we must all switch to electric cars or better yet use a bike for daily transportation and stop heating our house with gas and commit ourselves to reducing our carbon footprint because if we don't we are all going to HELL because we are sinning against the planet. CAN I GET AN AMEN????

There ya go Global warming in a "nut"shell........................

...and that is precisely why they NEED to have these awards where, for a night, celebrities get to act like they're trying to save the world and correct all of its evils - whether its in their speeches, or by giving awards to people/material that they seem as sympathetic to their causes, or through some stunt like showing up to the red carpet in a Honda Hybrid.

Actresses show up at these things wearing million dollar jewelry, meanwhile "Blood Diamonds" was up for a couple of awards. But not any major ones, mind you.

Like iceman said it's just the latest "crisis" some people just can't survive unless they have a "cause" like:
- '70's the energy crisis...remember we were supposed to run out of gas 7 years ago
- Global Cooling, new ice age this was popular in '78-'79
- 80's "No nukes" 3 mile island and all that stuff
- 80's WWIII and Reagan and cruse missliles in Europe...we're still here
- "feed the world"...now people are too fat...including many 3rd world countries
- AIDS...but we still have that

Predictable rhetoric. To some, anybody who doesn't drink the right wing Kool-Aid is a Liberal.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
