Wow,
I went to go check out a 74' Charger today and on the way there my pal Gilbie spotted this. The SE is rotting away in this guy's backyard. I snapped a pic and went up to the guy's door. He said that he is the original owner and that it is not for sale. It has been sitting in the same spot since 85'.
He said it is a 440 pistol grip car !I thought great for parts, he said NO, great for a rotting lawn ornament I suppose. What a shame. I wish I could have rescued her. :rotz:

True.  400 4 speed was an option, but not very common.

I know, it would be a great parts car. All the chrome looked good, from a distance.

Take a big wad of cash to the door, ask him if he'd sooner have a car rusting away in the back yard, or a bunch of cash. :P

The conversion is easy but if you have any questions just let me know.  I have done all but the electrical part on my car.

how is "great for parts"rescuing the car?rescuing the car would be trying to fix it.they never made any 440 4spd chargers that year.

Let's hope that whoever buys the car some day, restores it instead of parting it out. I just bought a 71 Charger 318 car from a salvage yard that never should have been parted out to begin with. That's happening way too often lately.

unfortunetly, with the cost of used parts out of this stratusphere, we will continue to see very salvagable cars parted out.  Look at the number of flippers out there, and i'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, infact I would rather see someone sell a restorable car for a proffit to someone who will restore it.  But as long as more money can be made by selling of parts therwill be more salvagable cars being parted.
