50th Wedding Anniversary

Went to my Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary over the weekend.
All the family was there and everybody was having a good time except Grandpa.
He was sitting in his Lazy Boy with a very sad look on his face.
I went over and sat down beside him and asked him what was wrong.
He said, "about ten years into our marriage I went and seen a lawyer".
I said, " a lawyer, what for? is everythiing O.K."
Grandpa said, "no not realy, you see I was so fed up with your Grandma
that I asked the lawyer what would be the penalty for having your grandmother knocked off"
The lawyer said, "I am not positive, but I think about forty years".
My Grandfather looked at me with a sigh and said "Today, I would be a free man".
