EXCELLENT!  Thanks for posting the pictures, post more when you can.  :2thumbs:

I think it is great that he has held on to the Daytona all these years... it is good to see some of them remain in the hands of people who cared for them before they were worth a fortune!

Thanks for posting the pictures of your dad's car, and welcome to the site!

Overall, the car doesn't look to be in too bad a shape.  It also looks a whole lot like DC.com member 3--Daytona's survivor Daytona.  Is that F5 or F8 Green?  Jim's (3--Daytona) car is F5 with a black stripe.

I'd love to get some of the fender tag information from you if you'd care to post it or PM me with the info.  Chris (Just_6T9_Chgr) would love to have the car registered in the 69 Charger Registry.

Again, thanks for posting and keep us updated on your wise old man's progress on the car!!!

Looks like a very solid car to start with. Wish my dad had held on to any of the ones he had.

62 Max

Just curious how it ended up in that condition after only 4yrs ! :scratchchin:

Do you know something about this car?  Hmmm....   :scratchchin:

Charger_Fan

That's really cool!
Is that car one any wing car lists & counted as still surviving? I bet your Dad will just be extatic when the resto is finished & he's actually driving it again. :)

Oh & if you feel the burning urge to share more pics, go right ahead! ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Arigmaster

Nice looking dog too... Welcome aboard!

It was parked (not registered) after 1973. My guess is that it wasn't stored inside all those years?

Bill, at first I didn't see what you were getting at with the 4 years comment - but I do now.  Yeah, I'm a little slow today I guess.

I don't know just how bad a shape the car is really in, although it's hard to say for certain from just those few pictures.  It looks like they only took the nose and lower valance off so they could use that fine winch system they rigged up...   :o  Guess it worked, since the car is up on the trailer in the last picture.

It may not always have been stored in that container or in the barn too.  I know my car sat outside for less than 3 years, and some significant water/rust-related damage did happen in that short timespan.

Hey man, glad to see that you made it here! Still havn't heard back from you via e-mail though. Cheers!

Guys, there is an awesome story behind this Daytona. And the restoration is coming along really nicely. Top notch! I would post several more pictures that onemintcaddy has showed me but I will leave that to him.

I kind of recall Matty dads daytona was blue.Going by the provided info he said it was his dads and had it 30+ years. And someone mentioned Canada.I  came up with a Pete N in Canada shows owing a green daytona in the July 1979 wingcar owners
