Several companies sell kits for ccing chambers. The cylinder head should be sealed up with some plexiglass and the fluid is added through a hole in the plexi while measuring the volume. The plexi needs to be sealed with grease to keep the fluid inside the chamber. A syringe might work OK but it will be a tedious exercise unless you have a very large syringe and a small one for when you get close to full. The kit is the way to go...inmo. Your results will be more accurate.  :yesnod:

thanks firefighter
I saw the kits and I have read about the process.I am sorry for the way to simple post earlier, but i was at work and had to get off the puter for another guy.I was just wondering about the accuracy of doing it that way.I looked for the buerettes on the web and they are a little expensive.I have alot of different size syringes here on the farm that I use to give the horses shots.I know this wouldn't be the best way ,just wondered if it could be a low-buck way to do it in a pinch.
anyone else got an opinion? ???

I did it with a small piece of Plexiglas, some Vaseline and a 50 cc syringe.  I drilled to hole in the Plexiglas at the top, one to put water in and one to let air out.  It was accurate enough to tell me how much work had been done to the heads.  Showed them to all be 92 cc's.
