I need to replace the ignition cylinder in my 73, can anyone explain the steps?  Ive never attempted this before.  Ive got a steering wheel puller already.

Anyone?  ???

I got this far (see pic below) but im not sure where to go from here.  I assume the snap ring comes off next...  but I was having some trouble with it.  Im not sure what to do after that?

Nevermind I got it, pretty easy after the snap ring comes off.

yes, snap ring NEEDS to be removed to remove the steering column collar with the bearing. take care with shaft  snap ring groove, because any damage on it will loose the ring easily on any moment from groove and will keep the wheel with play in and out and then wheel stuck on against collar, same as security lock wheel against the second collar assembly.
