Anyone compare their quality vs each other? How do their door panels compare and other parts. Any input appreciated.

Ive got PUI seat covers that need to be installed. Then I want to get PUI door panels also. They're lower price than legendary

I have Legendary stuff on the charger with no problems and quality products.  I have had a bad instance with the PUI door panels we put on our el camino as there is a chrome strip that started coming unglued after only a month and a half and PUI did not want to know anything about it.  Said if we were unhappy with them to buy another set.  Poor customer service if you ask me to back up a shoddy workmanship.

i agree with resq302 my pui seat covers has deep creases that would not come out not happy at all! go with legendary, pay more but get better quality

JimShine

I have both and I like my PUI seat covers. They look a little more correct color wise to my eye than the Legendary Saddle Tan. But I agree that the Legendary cover feels tougher. It will be interesting to see how the PUI's hold up compred to my Legendary.

The PUI seat covers I bought were awful. The front buckets were missing necessary listing wire provisions. Rear bench looked like shit when installed. The upper portion was mis-sewn and very loose fitting. Frankly, I`d be embarrassed to put the set in a car. I`ll probably end up throwing them in the trash..... A complete and total waste of 400 bucks. The 2 Legendary sets that I have bought and installed fit and looked great.

just like with most things you get what you pay for.

My pathetic PUI covers were not any less $$$ than the quality Legendary products.  Be aware... Year One currently carries PUI. From what i understand, the change was due to long wait times from Legendary. Having bought both, I`d rather wait for quality (legendary) than have junk (PUI) quickly.   No matter which brand you buy, or who you buy them from.......... be sure to ask about their return policy. I didn`t and now I`m stuck with $400 of seat covers that look like crap.

I've had both brands.

I don't think either one is as good as the original covers were.  I can see what the complains about PUIs are about, but I don't think Legendary's seats are better ENOUGH to warrant the crap that Legendary makes you put up with.  (Any items not in black will definitely take four months to get, their '69 seat buttons have been falling off for at least the last ten years despite constant excuses, even Legendary's vinyl still rips more easily than most O.E. car seats . . . )

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I wanted some really long-lasting quality covers then I would probably pay a custom upholstery shop (and I wouldn't demand them looking 100% factory correct in this case, either).

You aren't kidding Miked. Lee1's Legendary covers lost a seat button the first time someone sat in the seat!

I agree with Twilt.

Rick Keesler here on the board and I went through a nightmare with a set of P.U.I. 69 Charger front bucket seat covers.

First off, the center trim by an inch or more on each cover was mis-sewn/off center at the top, on the backside of each cover, causing the covers to fit crooked, and were unsightly (is that a word.....LOL) without symmetry.

They had material in some places that fit snug, and in other places were way loose and baggy, and the seat buns were brand new!

No listing wire loom provisions for listing wires, the wires allow the seats to have their correct contour in the middle, versus just being incorrectly flat with the buttons well above the seat surface to catch things on.  The new Legendary's do require some custom pieces on the inside of the cover to secure the "buttons" to the seat cover, or they will not stay put.

The material was lightweight also, when compared to the 17 year old Legendary's we removed from the seats, as well as the new Legendary's.

Took mine back to Harden's (though not a pleasant experience, he did return my money, and I would still do business with him otherwise).  In the meantime, the predicament caused me to to pay overnight charges while ordering direct form Legendary.

Legendary's fit like a glove, sewn correctly, and had listing wires.

There's more, but I'll stop here............

MOPARHOUND!

Correctly centered Legendary seat cover, just like the factory did them for comparison.  Notice the symmetry of the vinyl pieces below the tape.  Seat material should be roughly 14 inches from "shoulder to shoulder" seam on the back, with dead center being at roughtly the 7 inch mark:
