What do I have here??? 4-speed #

I bought some Charger parts 2 weeks ago; 2 doors with the glass and non auto steering colomn, with it came this shifter and a 4-speed.
Can you tell me what the numbers mean?

Shifter has (Inland Tool & MFG) on it + ITM stamped on the shifter body.

Tranny on the pad: (8G241292) I figure it is the vin #. Then pp8332478.

I also found a 1968 383 4V out of a Monaco that has never been rebuilt + all the A/C stuff, radiator, fan and fan shroud. I'm hoping the rad will fit the Charger. Also the streeing box. 

If anyone wants a BB 727 I might get that too.

that doesnt look like the inland shifter ive seen on 68's, it will be able 2 handle a 383 tho 300hp if it isnt an hp correct?

The tranny is from a 68 383 I believe. I can get a Hemi 4-speed, but I think it would be over kill.

It's an inland shifter for sure. I'm not running a console, it just looks to short for a Charger.
I should try and find a Hurst like my Super Bee had.

What is a non console shifter look like.

Heres the correct shifter inland unit for your car, a hurst unit would be the same as the one in your superbee except with a white shift ball -MATT

Depends on the size of the person.  I had a four speed car once with the buddy seat and it wasn't all that bad.  No worse really than an automatic car.  Besides, she should want to sit closer to you...

The trans was built on Friday, May 10, 1968 and went into a 4 speed 1968 model car built very late in the model year at the St Louis plant.

Can you read the 3 digit ink stamp on the side of the trans?  Should be about 3 inches or so tall.  I'm guessing "048" or "100" .

Presumably it has a B-body tailshaft?

What numbers are on the 727?  VIN?  Part #, and build date?

The 727 is out of the same 68 Monaco, the engine and tranny are still in the car down in Clinton lake.
When I warms up more, I plan on picking the engine up. I'll ask what he wants for the tranny.
