This car has the rallye dash but instead of the clock the oil pressure gauge is in the second large opening. I can't see whats in the far right hole. Anybody know?

Ghoste

That is a strange one to me too.  It looks like there is lettering in that far right pod but you can't quite make it out.
So 3rd gen guru's, what is it?

tan top

don't know a lot about 3rd generations ..but i think could   it be  from a R/T  & i am sure i have seen them in a 71 GTX at some point .  :scratchchin:  could be wrong :-\   temperature  gauge in the furthest    Hmmm...... then i,m thinking  a tachometer went in there  next to the speedometer  :-\   :shruggy:  ... didn't they have a clock also ..  or i am getting mixed up with something else  :smilie_help:
like (ghoste) said the third  gen guys will  know  this  sort of stuff for sure .. :yesnod:

MOPARHOUND!

That is a fairly standard layout with no clock or tach.  Many of them out there.  Usually seen with the 120mph speedo though, maybe someone swapped in a 150mph.

Link to ebay auction (pic below):  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-Plymouth-Road-Runner-Rallye-Dash_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ140720QQihZ012QQitemZ220081717781QQrdZ1

Something unusual I scored at a local swap meet was a 70 Rally dash from a 70 Super Bee with no clock or tach.  That spot has a blank plate there.  Rare but not overy desirable.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

yep standard dash

then in place of the oil & gas was a clock or tach with the smaller pods having the oil, temp, gas and alt.

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

5 clusters option were on 3rd gens ( beside years differences )

-Standart black/silver ( on basic equipment on WL21 models )
-Standart black/woodgrained
-Basic Rallye cluster ( the one showed on this thread )
-Rallye with clock... smaller gauges are double meter oil/gas and temp/amm. Note... temp/amm assembly really are two different ones just fit on same cluster hole. don't remember if oil/gas are same assembly. Big gauge at side of speedo is the clock place.
-Rallye with tach... same set up as above.

Several notes:

-Standart cluster ALLWAYS provide the cut for the optional clock.

-All rallyes are woodgrained

-Basic RALLYE don't PROVIDE CLOCK CUT OUT on back bezel. The back bezel is COMPLETELLY different to the clock or tach backs. These ones are the same and you can install a clock or a tach on it. So if you has a clock, you can remove and install a tach and won't be any differnece one from the other, nobody will notice the difference about the original equipment, except for underdash extra wiring. However, the basic cluster back bezel can be modified but is not a piece of cake job. Not hard but needs care.

another diffrences are the icons labels since mids 73 assemblies on wiper and lights, on both standart and rallye cluster. 150 speedos on 71 rallyes and some earliers 72, with red vertical high beams inidicator, different than the 120 rallye speedos with blue horizontal high beams indicators since mids 72 and laters.

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Yeah mine has the clock with the 150 mph speedometer. Most guys I know with mopars have darts or earlier chargers. Everybody else is a dork and has a chevy.
