Well I just purchased a 1972 Roadrunner...     was originally a 400 4-speed car...     now a 440 4-speed car...   minimal rust - some bodywork needs to be addressed and painted...       originally a tor-red car with black strobe stripe...      and it was...    drum roll please.....

$4500...       for a running driving 440 4-speed mopar...    now bad i guess...    and BTW - this car was an Export car...    so...    another fun day of tearing a car apart

Very cool, love those early 70's birds....I almost bought a 73 last year, but common sense prevailed (I already have several other projects) I later saw it cleaned up and painted and sold at a car lot that specializes in old stuff. It, and a pretty clean 69 RR didnt sit on that lot long needless to say.

I hope it has a good grill in it. 1972 road runner grills are scarce.

Where are you at?    Only reason I ask, Monday I passed a Ford Explorer towing a '72 Road Runner... in red... with a black strobe stripe sitting on the side of I-70 here in Colorado?

Hell, I'd be happy if I could just find a nice '71 or '72 Satellite. The '71 to '74 Plymouth B bodys are almost non existent around me. I have not seen any in the past 4 years or so.

Congrats. I bought it's exact twin 4 years ago, rust free, straight, no motor or trans $800... and yes, it has a perfect grill. I'm only as far as rebuilding the front suspension and painting the engine compartment and trunk. Tor-red sure is pretty when its new and shiny. FYI- They only made 7000+ 72 RR's.

Thanks for the info!   This car does have some rust in the floors (easy fix) and the passenger side wheel well...     that is the only part that concerns me...    as no panels are reproduced for this car...     I'll be taking a drive over to Goodmark ind. to give them a nice reaming about that today...      the previous owner has repainted the engine bay...     but he painted it Vitamin C...     oh well...     car is coming apart for rust repair and a complete repaint...       the car is about 95% strait...    just needs panel alignment and the rust issues addressed...

and guys im taking pics along the way...     just havent downloaded them yet to put them up.
