Bet you that the guys driving that aren't worried about $2.99-3.50/per gallon gas prices.   :icon_smile_approve:

They do talk about hp O0

Drive one of them sometime if you ever have the chance.  :icon_smile_big:  My cousin had a couple when he was doing custom farming.  Problem is they cost about $300,000.  A little rich for my blood.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

Hay John did you take that picture? I was wondering if you could send me the original with your name and info. I work for the UP and they have a picture area for neat pictures and that one is a classic in the making.

I saw the UP3985 in Abilene Kansas in the early 90's and it was cool Any steamer is worth seeing if you can go see oine now days. Nothing like them.

The UP has 2 steam engines that they still operate and run around the country. The UP3985 and the UP844.

Back in 1993 when the midwest had the big flood. The big one that flooded Des Moines and took out their water supply and so forth. Anyways KC flooded from the Missouri river. The UP3985 was stuck there during the flood. After things were back to normal rail traffic was backed up and they had no locomotives to run trains. So they decided to use the UP3985 and it was the first time in like 50 years since a steam engine had pulled a freight train for the UP.

I didn't take the pic, I found it somewhere on the web. Here's another pic of a Challenger pulling a string of diesels, there's a story that the diesels got bogged down on a steep pass and the Challenger was sent to pull them over the hill; never have been able to verify the story.
