I know better than to buy a car from Fl.  This one show rust through the primer, and you can see bondo...  Yet it doesn't look like a "Flake".   I got a '70 from St. Pertersburg Fl and it was TOAST.  Hood was SHOT.  That hood looks the same.

WHY?????  Unless it has been parked at the oceans edge it would be like any other car from any other state.. There's an awful lot of coast line in California and that's where a huge percentage of old cars still exist..

The only problem I have with finding oldies here in Florida is that most of them are 4-door.. Florida is loaded with very good condition 4-door cars from the 50', 60's, 70's and so on..

The rusty hood isn't an indicator of it being a bondo buggy. Hell, 5 year old DODGE trucks and vans around here have rusty top/flat panels.. The sun eats paint here... Mopars seem to have the biggest problem with it..

I think we have a few members around Ft. Meyers. Why don't you ask one of them to go take a look at it.. It could be a good find..

Good luck..

I thought it look like good car to restore, bought one from Florida, sure bondo in the trunk but what Challenger hasent that, it was no worse than a car from Oregon or another i bought in Nevada, dont think its soo much the weather(sure no undercoating on the westcoast) its more how people store it...
