Ok, I set a record for myself. 4th post in one day. Anyway, my 727 will hesitate exactly 2 times. When I take it out for ride I get to the end of the driveway and when I attempt to go the rpm's will raise and then it kicks in. When I get to the end of my road (about a 1/4 mile) and try to enter the highway it does it one more time. After that, the rest of the day is fine. Any thoughts?

Check your fluid level it might be low.  It sounds like your second gear band is slipping.

good luck

Thanks Robert but that was the first thing I did.

Band adjustment has nothing to do with initial takeoff.

My guess is that the seals in the rear clutch (needed for all forward gears) are hardened/shrunk and are leaking when cold. If seals are the problem an additive like Trans-X or Lucas will often help.

A pressure problem would also cause this so it would be wise to pull the pan and check for a clogged filter.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Bob

I guess I will pull the pan and service it before adding anything.
Thanks
