I don't know who all here may have know him but I just got notified by our mopars unlimited Seattle chapters club president that a very good friend of ours passed away last week. His name was Don Rae and he was one very cool guy who had a pasion for all mopars and had a great additude towards life. He himself owned a beatiful dark blue Small block barracuda with white stripes. (a very cool machine)  He will be dearly missed and I just wanted to let everyone in here who knew him that he had passed and There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday 2/18/07, at 12:00pm at the New Eagles on North Broadway in Everett. (Formerly the old Cookbook Restaurant)are planning a service in his rememberance this Sunday at 12pm in Everett. Friends are encouraged to show up in there classic mopars.

That's very sad
He was one of maybe 5 people in the Mopar club who actually knew my name and talked to me.
I will remember his genuine kindness toward me.

Don had been staying home because of a shoulder injury, he had been calling
into work every day saying he could not make it yet. After two days not
hearing from him, they and the neighbor went to his house and found him
there past away, not sure how long or what from yet.

Sad very sad, I drove in may caravans to shows with Don, and he
was the only one I could count on to keep up with me when
I got a hair and hit over 100mph. His right foot only had two
positions, not in use, or down all the way.

Another Decorated Vietnam Vet lost, I will see you again Don, someday.................

He was on this site as well, just did not have very many posts, he loved my charger,
and loved chargers in a hole one of his favorite cars.........

I never met or heard of him but he sounds like a great guy, that's too bad. I wonder if the shoulder injury had something to do with his death? That's a very nice Barracuda. I like the color combo.

Don actually was at one of our charger meets a few years back, forgot what year.
He was a member of this site, just did not post much.

It was probably a stroke or heart attack it looks like so far.

Don is on the right enjoying a beverage.............

I'm sorry to hear he is gone. I enjoyed him and yes he was a serious Mopar guy. I know he came to at least one of the Charger Meets.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

I don't remember what his screen name on this site was but on the Old Site, Don went by cudax4.  Don was enthusiastic about Mopars, not just the A-body Barracudas that he owned.  The address for the Eagle's Lodge is 1216 Broadway Everett WA 98201.

I seen this over on 'parts.  As I said there, Don was always laughing or smiling when I met him at the Charger.com Meet a couple years ago.  Tough to see the good guys go.  :-\  RIP Don.

RIP Don.  I didn't really know him, but I do recognize him.  Probably met him at one of the Charger meets.   Bob

I found out Monday at work about this. We at work are saddened and we all have lost a good friend and fellow Mopar freak.

That's a sad deal. My condolences go to his family. :'(

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I don't really know what to say.  I just came across this post.  Don was always very nice to me and one of the best Seattle Chapter presidents we've had.  He started a monthly cruise back a few years ago (2003) that encouraged me to upgrade my wheels and tires and suspension system so I could enjoy them more.  That ideal kind of went away but it was fun while it lasted.  We had Vietnam in common but he saw a lot more action than I did.

I will be out of town this weekend so I will not be able to be at any of programs in his honor.  We are starting to lose baby boomer's involved in our hobby.  It hits home because a lot of us are around Don's age.

Don enjoyed his cars and life in general.  Miss you man.
