Post pics of your car show boards. You know, those boards that some people have infront of their car at shows with like info on the car on it. I plan on getting one of these made for my car when its done and I wanna see some of your guy's ideas.

Personally I don't care for those signs in front of a car. Call me old fashioned, but I think a car should speak for itself. That is to stay the workmanship, fit and finish, and the attention to detail. If you have a really nice car a sign is unnecessary.
Cars owned:
1968 Dodge Charger, 48k orig. miles, family owned since new.
Not a Hemi, a mini-hemi 340.

i dont have a showboard myself, but i know a guy who has a 71 rt charger (4 speed 6 pack no power steering, radio delete) anyway he had one of those boards but he was never happy with his car's paint job, so next to the word "paint" he simply put the word "f----d"  ;D but now the car has been repainted, so i guess he can no longer call it f----d

:iagree:

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

Best I can do for you.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

We used to use those car show boards. I hated them myself. People at car shows would walk up to the car, talk about it, then ask, nice paint job, who painted it? As my shop t-shirt states the shop I worked for and said my name on it, just like the sign said. I wanted to so baddly say, *Heres Your Sign*. hahaha.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

Here is one for my Cuda. I don't think I'm going to do one for my Charger for the reasons stated above and I'm growing tired of hauling them around and people knocking them over.

Here's a shot of my '70 with it's sign. Nothing fancy, just lists the facts.
I agree with other members, too. It's becoming a nuisance to carry around, and I still get wacky questions. I put it in a special stand so it doesn't get knocked over. I've seen signs blown over by wind do a number on a car.
On a somewhat related note, a friend on mine has a black HP2 Satellite that got hit by a flying umbrella. He just finihsed the car, & ended up with a nice dent in his door. The owner of the umbrella left it unattended, attached to his chair, & left it open. Disaster waiting to happen.  :rotz:

What is a crying doll???  Is it the obvious, a doll that cries??
Forgive my ignorance?

are you talking about the cabich patch kid dolls? ???, I was over at my local car show afew years ago, this guy had a nice Flame Orange painted '69 charger there, well they figure they would set beside the vendor guy an use one of there tables (relatove of theres) and they set this little shelf like up an stuck all these kind of dolls on that had woodbases on afew an this was like oh maybe 8 feet from the car. Well as my cousin an I was walking down the street past the charger a good gust of wind came up and I bet you can guess what happen. Yep the shelf fell stright over the Dolls went fly before the shelf hit the ground and right into the rear window of that poor charger, all I could do was just close my eyes as my cousin an I was like 10 feet away from the charger. My cousin an I help out the owners of the charger get the Dolls pick up an also out of the back window ledge. The paint got ding up alittle here an there an needed another back glass. If I had my old digital camera with me that day I would have tooken some photos of the car on how nice it look. Afer that I decided to to get a heavy show board if I would get one but get one where I could place in my car trunk an an have a display stand that would be foldable so I keep the board an stand in the trunk an fasten down some how so that board wouldn't fly out or fall over an hit somthing or someone.

I took a different direction and just did a couple boards that I thought people would enjoy. They are big hits, and draw a bunch of attention. The Charger has a similar one, but without as much original documentation.
