New breed of flying squirrel found in suburban America

Local scientists and biologists in the state of Washington have discovered a new breed of flying squirrel.  They state that the squirrel has evolved due to its close contact with humans in a suburban environment.  The new breed based off of the native grey squirrel has enabled itself to become airborne due to its contact with the indigenous humans.

The squirrel has recently been seen as entertainment for the local public with its great and powerful flying exhibitions to cover minimum of 50 feet in length from just an individuals rear porch.

More will be stated later after local biologists have a chance to study the animal in greater detail.

I'm not too fond of squirrel's myself (IMO) The little buggers to me are nothing but rats with a fuzzy tails. I had to evict two of them little bastages out of my garage and breezeway attics after they chewed their way through my soffits.

I never saw that video before and yes I laughed too. (I'm goin straight to hell huh?) I couldn't find it but there is another video last summer where someone had set up a clap pigeon launcher on their back deck railing and when the squirrel climbed on it they released the trigger. (must have flown about 100 yds.)

At least the vids dont show the landings...

DITTO!!!  I had 2 flying squirrels and they were awesome pets. They were so smart. I feed the local squirrels all the time.

I dunno....I think if it were a rat or a opossum it would've been funny....but I like squirrels...I even feed them out of my hand in my back yard.  I'll have to give that one...a thumbs down...
