Looking GREAT!  Reducing inventory and completing projects is in my plans as well.  Trying to finish a workshop wiring project first... it is now ready for rough-in inspection.

Nice workshop Trav... What is the size?  Looks like maybe 30x80?  BTW, get the wiring, interior walls, floor coatings, etc done up front instead of waiting until later!  Working in my crowded workshop is a pain, several pains actually!!!

Charger Aficionado

AMAZING collection Trav.  Not many WEALTHY guys have such a nice collection, or more importantly have a wife understanding enough to let all that go on...  (some want the 30k Purse)...

I think your wife is a DIAMOND for letting you persue your heart's desires...  and then again bribery always works (isn't the black '70 R/T hers)??  lol

I LOVE the Sunfire '69.  Looks just like the Franklin Mint model, but no redlines...  She looks like a NEW CAR inside!

Bandit72

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

progress on the dayclona is very very slow. and no pics for a while. it's in kentucky getting quarters right now. i am hoping it's done by late summer.
thanks for all the kind words so far guys. makes me feel good. that building ALONE would have bought 2 NICE chargers
hard to plunk down that kind of money for a building. but i had to. concrete by itself was $9600. WHEW!

Shop floor here is 40x60 and it cost 10 grand. So you didn't do that bad in comparison. Oh yeah, thanks for the updates/photos!
Mark

I agree!... I paid well over $10,000 for the 50x60 slab over 8 years ago.  In fact, just the up-grade to an "engineered" slab (larger re-bar, cross beams, etc) was $4500.  My slab is a minimum of 6 inch thickness, with min of 7 inch thickness where the lift will go.  The slab actually ended up coming in well over the mins...

I have known Travis for about 8 years now but only through AOL online chat. Somehow we have never met. I am from Michigan and he is in Louisiana. I have followed his collection since the very first General Lee way back in the day. I am jealous for sure but hopefully one day he will leave me a few in his will. For now I will just stick with my 1 car. Nice collection they all look great.

Are those walls and ceiling insulated? If so, what with? What about lighting and electrical service?

thanks guys. the outside wall height is 10' and the center is 12'. very short but i made up for it in length and width. yes walls and ceilings are insulated. it is called double bubble, basically is sealed on both sides so rats etc can't chew through it like they can normal unfaced insulation. cost about $3000 total for it but i can already tell the difference
