Jims auto parts BAD

I know many of you have already posted bad stories about Jims auto parts. Well here is another.
I had a horrible experience with Jims Auto parts.
The order take had the nerve to hang up on me Twice     when I asked her to confirm a shipping date for a power steering pump.

If I were you I'd call my Credit card company and cancel/block that order. Jim's shipping charges make year one's look minuscule.

there has been a lot of threads on them over on Moparts . i have ordered  from them , very quick delivery , but i thought the shipping was a bit high , but i needed the stuff quick & i could not find the parts in stock at the other suppliers i normally deal with .

Did you get to talk to "THE HAG" ? Is she the one that hung up on you twice?     There is usually a couple of bad posts about Jims every week on Moparts.  Come to think of it.....I`ve never heard anything good about the place.

I've been there once. Needed something right away and they were the only "right now" source.

In all the years I have been into mopars, I have never heard one single good thing about them.  I'm not into spreading internet gossip and bashing a vendor that I have had no dealings with, but you get a little cautious when people actually go out of thier way to point how bad this place is....makes you think.

I ordered 4 different parts from them.  The rear frame crossmember is excellent.  it is a nearly exact match.  The extensions for this piece were great also.  However, the inner fender was the biggest waste of metal I have seen.  I am in the process of returning it now.  They are going to pull a piece and see if theirs looks as bad as mine.  I am not sure what difference this makes, but I guess I will find out when I call her back in 2 hours.

they are run by nut bags.  I had a hell of a time getting the Items I paid for and when I got my dash pad he added 10 bucks to the price he had listed on the website.

I see this thread started in February....... over on moparts, one of these pops up on a monthly basis. I don't know how they have managed to stay in business this long either. Shoulda gone bankrupt from people avoiding them and taking their business elsewhere years ago!

I'll never use them again. I phoned for a shipping quote on a set of weather strips and was told they couldn't tell me. Decided to order anyway and was charged more for shipping than the strips cost.

i've worked with Jim at Jacks many times. witrh no problem . Jim ownes Jacks . confusing

Yup, that sounds familiar.

TK, you'd be amazed at how many people up here still don't have internet service, and if the do, don't belong to forums like this that can help you avoid these people. This is chebbie country up here. Mopar's are few and far between and places that sell parts for Mopar's can demand top dollar and usually get it.

I know I have read posts for years about bad dealings with Jim's. I have taken the warnings and never bought. There are too many repro places out there anymore for us to rely on 1 or 2 businesses.

For the very same reason that people are paying 30K+ for 383 powered 69 Road Runners or 340 Dusters.
