I have never seen a ghost and my grandmother used to tell ghost stories that would curl your toes  But I don't want to say I don't believe in them because then one just might decide to visit me   :Twocents:

i beleive that ghost hunters is a crap show, but ghosts are real, my house is haunted.  the only pic i have onhand without searching for it is this one- myself and a friend were wrestling during a ufc fight on tv when he grabbed his lower back and screamed in pain....this picture was snapped at that instant and this is the result of the photo. say what you want about camera flaws and dust and lighting, but the picture is real. i have video of things happening in my house.  the coolest is when they set my microwave timer and turned it on all while a friend was sitting at the table. they refuse to come back to my house after that happened

Sorry but the above picture is just a light reflection off the lens either from the light source itself or the flash bouncing off something. The fact that it happens to be positioned over the persons hand/back area is purely coincidental.
I delete more pictures because of these spots, I hate em.

Picture taking tip, keep the light source behind you and don't flash in to anything reflective and I promise you no ghosts will appear.  :icon_smile_big:

PS why were you two wrestling with your shirts off?

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

My House is haunted, there are ghosts everywhere  :eek2:

My grandparents house in Texas is supposedly haunted by my grandfather. He died in his chair in the livingroom back in 1988. The woman that bought the house from my grandmother in 1990 knew them very well. She still lives there and has said she has seen him many times and actually spoke to him in several brief conversations.
The first time she saw him was shortly after she moved in. She said she was ironing in the room where he died, looked up and he was standing right in front of her. She said he looked around, turned and went into the kitchen and disappeared. Another time she was asleep in the middle of the night and was awoken by the kitchen light. Got up and went to check, no one there, kids sound asleep and the light switch was off. She could not turn it off. I know this one could be explained by a switch malfunction, just dont know.
I drove back to the house this last january when my grandmother passed. I had to drive to Texas for the funeral and wanted to go in the house but the lady was not there. I didnt know about the conversations she has had with him until this year. Found out from my cousin who still talks to the woman.

I dont think the show is a con but I also think that as much money as The show makes there should be more/better cameras when they do their hunting. But as for there characters Ive never meet two nicer gentlemen when they were down at newport. BUt to andwer your question I do believe in the paranomal Ive seen what I believe are ghosts or what ever they are.
One story Is when my grandfather was living in his house we were taking care of him he asked for a pepsi from the basement. when going down there I looked in the back room where my recliner sat and there was a guy sitting in there which freaked me out when i grabbed a bat  and went back down he was gone but the chair was rocking like someone got up from it and left. I told my grandfather about it and he said thats just Bob. It was a neighbor who loved construction and would hang around sites until he passed now several of the neighbors have similar stories but only when they are doing remodling or construction on their houses.
Another story is My dad who lives there now was laying on the couch half awake half asleep saw someone in the living room looking at him he thought it was my mom and just asked what she was doing up well the dog was laying with him and started growling at it and he said the thing just moved backwards kinda gliding which freaked him out but he says he dont know what it was

I have always thought people who live around ghosts and just accept them are crazy. For instance you were at someone's house and you hear noises and they say "Oh that's just old John, he does that all the time!"

The problem is that old John has been dead for 20 years!!   I WOULD MAKE A NEW HOLE IN THE WALL GETTIN OUT OF THERE  :smilielol: how do you continue to live somewhere like that???

I'll tell another personal story.

While I lived in Idaho Falls, I worked at a Hotel. I was the weekend night audit. One night I was working and a tree in the foyer kept moving. All the others were perfectly still. I figured it was nothing but the heater blowing on it. After a wile, it started shaking even more violently. So I walked over to it and there was no air current at all. There was no reason for it to shake. As I walked away, it just stopped. It kind of bothered me, but it was no big deal. The next night as I was working, the lights were on in the convention room. I walked back there, made sure no one was back there and shut the lights off. As I left, I shut and locked the door. About an hour later, I was walking around doing one of my hourly inspections and noticed from across the way that the lights were on again. I was kind of pissed because I figured someone must have got back there. So I go back in to shut the lights off. I yell to see if anyone answers and no one does. I walk into the closet to shut the lights off. When I walk in there, there was a guy standing there staring at me. I ran out of there faster than a marathon runner. I sit at the desk the rest of the night and didn't move. In the morning when the manager came to take over, I told her what had happened. She kind of chuckled and said it happens to all the night audits.

That Hotel was built in the 60's. I was told that any crime that can be committed, had been committed in that building. There was record of several murders there.
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

The weirdest experience I ever had, which is one that nobody seems to believe me about. I was woken up at about 2:30 by my grandmother. I was at college in Kansas and she was in my room. I had about a 15-20 minute conversation with her. That next morning I had called my folks, she had died just before 2:30 while at the hospital. My mother had been visited as well in similar instances. The conversation we had was basically just  being told not to worry about her, and everything is ok.

Now you can believe what you want, but I'll go ahead and believe what I experienced. and no I hadn't been drinking nor was I under the influence of any drugs.

the only light that was on was a small lamp behind my wife (who took the picture) no other lights were on..... we were shirtless because it was hot during the summer and there was no a/c in the house at the time..  dispute my pic if you like, i aint gonna argue the point. its the only picture i have handy. i'm not posting in this topic to argue over your beliefs. i did not believe in ghosts until i moved into this old farm house. come on over and stay the night and rule out all my "fake" happenigns if you like.....

Overall this debate is pointless. We, who have experienced the paranormal, know what we know and know we are right. Those who don't believe and have never experienced anything themselves, or who have and didn't believe it was paranormal, also know they are right. Folks are set in their beliefs unless they come face to face with a foundation shattering event that makes them reconsider all they have grown up to believe. We could show them evidence all day long, but it's up to them to believe what they are seeing.
As for the picture I posted, it's strange to me those who can't clearly see a grinning skull in the enhanced picture. It's very clear to me even though the overall effect is fuzzy. Oh well, it is what it is.

I work at a school that was built over a grave yard in 1932. They supposedly dug up the graves and moved them but did they get them all?....no one knows for sure. I have been there 18 years and opened it up at 5 am for about 13 years and could tell some erie stories but I convinced myself that it was maybe not what I thought because I don't really believe in paranormal. The worst scare was an 8ft. boa got out of a cage and was in a dark hallway and I stepped on it and it whipped around and about tripped me....I also about shit my pants! They have a pic of a person in the main foyer back like 50 years or so and there is ghostly figure standing near them and they never could figure it out. I have heard several people died while building the school. I have only seen one student die there and it was from a heart attack. One of my coworkers that worked there for 27 years and retired a few years ago seen some other deaths so he say's. We had a freight elevator fall and it crippled a worker. Since then they have installed a new one 20 years ago. I took a nap earlier today and had a dream it fell again with 3 people on it this time  :eek2: Here is a couple links:

Sounds like a scary place to work.

I went to Urbana High School in Urbana, IL and we used to hear ghost stories about the locked tower that no one is allowed to go in. The high school was built in 1913 but they renovated and added on in 1990. We always heard that a girl commited suicide up in the tower and some people see the light on up there at night to this day.

Plus the building has all of these weird gothic statues and masonic symbols
