Ghost Hunters (Do you beleive?)

been watching a show called "ghost hunters" on the sci fi channel lately and i find it quite interesting, even though i do beleive some of it is staged or exagerated, there are afew episodes that send chills up your back.

What about you all, does anyone here but me beleive in ghosts?

Nope.  I've watched that show and at first it seemed interesting but then I  got tired of the same stuff.  It's all B.S.  Everytime they say they see something the camera is MOST of the time on them so you see the reaction of them.  Now why is that?    I think a  younger person (young teens) might believe it or someone that doesn't wonder why the camera is showing the reaction instead of what caused it. Think about it.  If there was a room that was huanted or house, I would have a camera up in every corner of every room for a 360 degree view. It's easy and cheap to do these days.  And why do these people get scared? They are NOT alone, They know why they are there, And they are so called ghost hunters but yet they are affraid of ghost.    That's like me having a dog catcher come that's affraid of dogs to catch a dog.  Or an Electrician that's affraid of electicity come to my house to find a problem.  How good of a job do you think you are going to get.  It's good entertainment and that's about it.    SO,  If you ever have a ghost haunting you just say this.  IF YOU SCARE ME TO DEATH, THEN I'LL BE A GHOST TOO AND I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR A$$ FOREVER.     That should do the trick.  Oh yah, tell them Skip68 said that.     Chuck...............

I believe in ghosts as much as I believe in UFO/Aliens.   NO SUCH THING!!! That show is just another money maker.

Oh yeah, fortune tellers, mind readers,witches(although i do like the show charmed for obvious reasons...Alyssa), little voodoo spells, and people that predict the future, (yes including Nostradamus), and those people that conjur up dead spirits or some crap like that(they always make me laugh), are all BS too IMO.
There would be a lot more lotto winners if that was true, believe me.

Oh, yeah and of course, how could I forget, The ouija board.
But it's kind of funny that Roman Catholics are not allowed to play with the board, which means the Catholic hierarchy must believe in that somewhat.
And no, I'm not religious either in case you were wondering buy all the other stuff I wrote up there(not against it though, cause it has it's place for others, just not my thing).   I'm just a human trying to get from start to finish, and have fun with my cars along the way.

I own a home alone in the sticks of Maine and invite any and all ghosts to come and haunt me in the middle of the night.  It's pitch black up here at night and i'm waiting for you.  Bring it on man, bring it on.

The wife and I have been watching Ghost Hunters for the past 3 years, and we love that show. Sometimes they find stuff, sometimes they don't. They always go into an investigation trying to de-bunked the persons claims of activity. And they have caught some amazing footage on camera. They seem like honest, straight shooters when it comes to this. Most of the time they are able to prove a place is not haunted, but it is the times where they actually find something that makes the show worth watching. The light house in Florida was one of the best episodes they have ever had. They find some real creepy stuff. So, to make a long story longer, yes I believe that show is totally real, without a doubt.

Ghosts? Well, let see here. Having grown up in Asia, and having been out in the remote areas where Voodoo, and other religions are practiced. I can say this, Ghoste are real. Now are they in the places these try to tape on this show? Probably not.

Reading the Bible you can learn alot. They really aren't people's past relatives or such like that, but are demons that were cast out of heaven with Lucifer, and now are free to roam the earth. They can take on any form they wish, and use it to their advantage.

As far as the comment about people being able to predict the future? That is also in the Bible. However it warns that if anyone claims to be able to tell the future, and they are wrong 1 time then they should be killed for being a false prophet. There are prophets of God who foretold of many events. God's prophets were never wrong. If someone claimed to know what was going to happen and was wrong, then it wasn't from God.

Everyone is more than entitled to believe whatever they want to believe, and I totally respect everyone's opinion.  Like I said, it's just not for me.  I really believe the ghost story show is just that, a show for entertainment purposes and anything that is there, light, spirits is all just technical stuff put there on purpose and set to do it's thing at a certain time.  Only anyone involved with the show would know for sure.

I can learn a lot from reading a Stephen King book as well.  Interpretation is a key word that should be used here.

That book you mention below has been interpreted many different ways by many different people.

We need to ixna on the eligionra or Troy is going to lock us up or get mad at us.

I respect everyone's opinions and beliefs though, just want to make that clear.

I think as we grow up into adults most of us realize that the devil is not running around doing evil. You just have bad people. We (most of us) grow to know there are no boogymen or demons or ghost in the closet, under the bed or in the woods.  I guess some people still think that way, and that's ok if you want.  You really can't use what people believed long ago to be 100% true. As time goes on we learn more.  Remember, people once thought that crazy people (mentally challenged) was the devil.    And they would stone you for being a witch.  Now we all know that's dumb but that's the way people thought back then. If you want to believe in ghosts and gobblins and witches and even tiny green men that's ok. It's your right.  I just ask that you don't stand next to me in public and say that  where other people can hear you.      Chuck..........P.S.  Now I can never go to your place Mike, you've invited all them there ghosts and now I am scared.

One of my favorites is the look in the mirror and repeat a certain phrase 3 times and a spirit is supposed to appear.  Matter of fact when it gets good and dark i think i'll do it tonight in my upstairs bathroom with the door shut and locked so i can't get out.  And i'm gonna get real close to the mirror so they can have a real good scare themselves when they appear.

Oh yeah, i'll do it at the stroke of midnight too, that's even more dramatic.  ooooooweeeeooooooo.  I'll have to light a candle so I can see the ghost though, cool even more drama and i hope the face shows up right above the candle so i'll really be scared.
If I don't post tomorrow, they got me.

Do I believe in ghosts? HELL YES! When I was married in the mid '90s, we rented a house (a 1924 Victorian), that after we moved in, found out that the original owner died in the basement. We also found out, that the house sat empty for a long time. Well, all I can say is that plain and simple, me, my step-son, my ex-wife (she will back me up on this) and a few of the local police at the time, believed the house was haunted. There was always something weird happening there. One time me and my wife were having a loud discussion about something, I was sitting in a wood rocking chair, and it felt like I was litterally stabbed in the right shoulder blade. It to this day, is the worst pain I have ever felt, PERIOD! It took me down. The doctor said there is/was nothing wrong that he could find. But yet to this day, I still feel the effects from that day. We also had doors that would slam shut, all of us were afraid to go into the basement because it ALWAYS felt like you were being watched. There were 2 times over the year we lived there, that we had the local law come to the house because we would get locked out of the house even after double checking to see that the door was not locked. It even happened to once of the police guys that was there. I could go one forever. Say what you will, but everyone who was in that house to this day agrees it was haunted. Even my parents. No one will ever change are minds about it. We finally moved because we couldn't deal with it.

I'm just having a little fun with you Wisconsin cause I do find ghost stories amusing.  I'm sure you all saw what you believed to be something, but i'm sure there is an explanation for it.  I guess you guys will never know obviously cause you moved.

Why is it always an older house, possibly because of the older structure, you will hear and experience a lot of different noises and such.  Who knows, but I know this, I ain't buyin it that it was a ghost of a man that died in the house.

Now if you'll excuse me I think there is a ghost that just opened my fridge and is now drinking my beer.  That's a nono for sure.

I was scared stiff! It lasted for what seemed like an eternity. The next day and I swear this is the truth the grass was dead by that window when everything around it was green. Believe me or not that is a true story.

                        not that i am  remotely in to this stuff but i too have seen some odd stuff , that i cannot explain , some a bit scary as there it no rational expiation.  i am not some kind of crack head  or have lost my mind              but voodoo ,ghosts , witchcraft .  i would not be to quick to say it is rubbish .  i wont go in to this stuff as i don't want to be banished to a Chebby forum
