Hey, you guys that have your own web sites, what software package do you use? I don't want anything to complicated. Not because I am not capable but more because I don't wan to spend the time to learn HTML.....I have Front Page but I really don't like it.

Thanks

I would use Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 or you could probably pick up a cheap version of MX (an older version, which has got plenty for what you want) It has both a coder and design layout. I am not much of a HTML man myself and am I love with it. It works just great.

My advice - learn HTML. The reason I say that is so you know what to fix when your development environment decides to "think" for you and hoses all of your code. I always recommend learning at least the basics of HTML before upgrading to one of the tools just so you're better at debugging things later on. As for development tools, the later versions of DreamWeaver are nice and HomeSite is very simple and one of my favorites. Since I have to build more dynamic pages I use development environments geared toward backend code like Eclipse and Zend but they are probably overkill for what you need.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

this site seemed to be pretty cool and simple to build a page.

I tried to learn the HTML deal when I was putting my bike racing site up but decided to get a WYSIWYG site instead. Troy has a good point but requires time that i didn't have.  My site and roadracing are no more though sadly.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
