I bought wiring from Year One (mfg'd by M&H) for my 67 and I am very happy with it.

Wiring is expensive but worth it in the end, especially if its as bad as you say.  Mopars seem to be known for wiring issues and I have personally seen more than one car (not Charger) burn up from bad wiring.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

And with the 240 volt dash lighting and the opening and closing relays for the headlight motors and the full instrumentation, bad dash wiring in a 1st gen is only going to make sorting your electrical problems a LOT worse.  Trust me.
