Ordered one for a 70 cluster that I am restoring.    Besides the fact that all of the lettering was about 2 font sizes too small, the openings for the switches, clock and speedo were all way too big.  when placed over the dash, you can see about 1/8" of the old wood grain....hmmmmm....  on the bright side, the font looked correct, although be it too small, and the openings for the gauges seemed ok.  it is a self stick decal, so I don't see how it would stretch to fit.  Not like others I have seen that say to use an adhesive.  just peel and stick.

also, missing the divider section between the headlight switch and the dimmer, just not there, a big square opening where two smaller ones should exist.

I guess I should have known better than to try and cheap out and use a decal, but at least they lived up to thier "no sweat" return policy.

not the best pics, but you can see the missing part and the font size, and the color, which I had not great illusions of, is not even in the same ballpark...

I'm selling the cluster, so I suppose a new 70 black bezel will work just as well...

I thought I saw someone recently who was selling stamped ones.
Did I dream it?

dkn1997

pg classic sells complete ones, but I don't know if they are stamped metal like originals.

Real Time Engineering was at the Lone Star Shootout in Houston with some nice looking reproductions.  I am not sure if they are the manufacturer or just a vendor...

Damn shame about the crappy quality that Year One is spitting out. Is that across the board these days for them? I ordered a set of front pans a few years back, and although I havn't sparked them in yet, they seem to fit...Xs29...that swap meet looks like nirvana!

dkn1997

Although this product is blatently shitty, I gotta give year one credit.  they really do have a "no sweat" return policy.  one call and the ups guy will show up to collect it. I bought a lot of stuff from them over the years and it's all been fine.  although they did not give me a catalog along with my purchase, which stinks.

I bought a set from PG classics before they actually had them in their hands, and thy were shipped directly from the manufacturer in china. and i installed them on all my dash pieces and they fit and look really nice, probably one of the nicest aftermarket pieces i have seen. but it definitely isn't the cheapest way to go.

i give them credit for being smart crooks , do you think youres is the first set they have had a return on ....no but they just keep selling the junk imagime how many people end up using them allowing year one to get away with selling junk, all because its cheaper than the good stuff or having them redone by a pro i realize that we arent all made of money but it shouldnt be this bad if they can make and sell a product worthy of our cars they shoulnt sell it at all i cant express to you all how much i hate when the big places take advantage of the good people in our hobby like this i would rather save forever and buy a good part than settle for junk like that .......ok enuf rant

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
