I'm sure we'll hear about every sordid detail for months on end. I personally do not have the slightest idea why people are so into celebrities or their personal lives. Waste of my time to worry about what someone I've never met has done, is doing, or plans to do.

We will see how it works out but according to the news the wedding was not a "legal" marriage but more a expression of love and commitment. As such Howard is not entitled to anything. Being a lawyer I doubt he would have missed that part if he planned it. 

Regardless what everyone thought of her it still is sad whenever someone passes so young.

Yeah, let me rephrase my initial reaction. I thought that she was crass, loud and all the things I said and then some but I also felt sort of sorry for her. She was the butt of many jokes and a caricature of herself. I thought that people really only invited her to public places because she was so volatile and may say or do anything and she fell into that. They took advantage of her and she let them so she could be famous.
She was a pretty woman when she kept her mouth shut and it's terribly sad that not only did she die but she died leaving another child ( didn't she?) and so young. Still, it really was as inevitable as a runaway freight train and all the dirty laundry will be aired and re-aired long from now.

I am glad though that she is out of the public eye or will be so I no longer have to hear about her. Now if only Paris Hilton could find a way to disappear. Every time I see Paris Hilton on tv it's like one of those Head On (apply it directly to your forehead)  commercials.

I hope her life and death will be a lesson to people everywhere who never seem to be able to learn to tone it down and stop creating drama for themselves and everyone around them. After being bombarded with Nicole BS for so long it will be a relief once this current drama subsides, but then we'll just be subjected to the antics of the next drama queen/diva/loud-mouthed so and so. Jeez, we're still hearing about OJ for cripes sake. Go away already you pathetic, lousy fools! I hate arrogant celebs!

Kinda ironic the parallels between her and Marilyn Monroe, beyond just the looks. Both led reckless lives, lived through more than their share of tragedy, and went way too young due to their reckless natures. Can't help but feel sorry for her infant daughter.

May I first say RIP.  It is kinda ironic how she died in a very similar fashion to her idol Marilyn Monroe.  Of course I am speculating that it was an overdose, but it is a safe bet.  If it turns out to be true, they both od in their hotel room.

Suspicion that drugs killed Anna Nicole Smith was heightened today as investigators found illegal narcotics as well as prescription medications in Anna Nicole Smith's room at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Fla., according to reports this morning.

WCBS-TV in New York reports that drugs were found in Smith's hotel room, and a toxicology report that would determine whether those drugs caused her death has not yet been released. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.

According to another report this morning, when an "employee" of Anna Nicole Smith found her in her hotel room, she appeared to have choked on her own vomit. The "credible source" cited by Access Hollywood says that when the employee encountered Smith in her room, she pulled back a sheet and discovered that the model-actress had choked. The same source, says Access, claims that Smith took a "children's sedative" and that she "kept passing out" before her death.

Now that both contestants in the battle of J. Howard Marshall's $1.6 billion fortune have died, the future of the suit is in some question. The Los Angeles Times reports that the suit is likely to continue in the name of Smith's infant daughter, Dannielynn Hope, even though the paternity is the subject of additional legal action. The Marshall family lawyer still contends that Smith "is entitled to nothing," and Smith's lawyer in the case says that it's hard to know what will happen next. "Things were sort of up in the air before this," he said. The case went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which then sent it back to Federal court.

I don't understand why some of you hate her so much! She wasn't evil, she never l=killed anyone. Sure she made some bad decisions, but she didn't deserve that! It is a very sad deal. It was starting to look up for her until her son died, anyone who loses a child would have some serious issues! I do feel bad for her, that she never fixed her life, that she had to lose a child, and that she had so many problems throughout her life! As for everyone who said that they were glad she died, or that they just feel bad for the family, that is messed up. Very few people deserve that
