I know this isn't the marketplace, but I had to post this somewhere and  I'm not the one selling it.
Just found these gems on ebay... This S.O.B should be taken out and beaten with his own gun rack.  :flame:
If I had the cash I would rescue the 68...and the 69 R/T for that matter..  It never ceases to amaze me the ignorance of some people.   :o

2 bad you just called a club member a S.O.B, it's not mine just passing the word....

Brado

Well, I'm real sorry if I've hurt someone's feelings..just expressing my personal opinion.  Last I checked that was still legal.
Any insight as to why someone would chop an R/T like that?

Yes, there's a thread somewhere on the history of the car(s) but, basically, it was junk. Look for some threads on Carlisle from last year or do a search. There is an ad in the Classifieds by the owner as well.

Also "Built 25 years ago" which would be right about the time I sold a solid 70 Challenger for $300 and my running/driving 68 Charger for $1300. I picked apart cars nicer than that in junkyards to keep my 318 on the road.  :o

Wow, the owner sure knows how to polarize people.  :icon_smile_big:

Kind of what I was thinking when I read your post.

My bad! I just simply meant that the owner had the ability to polarize people's emotions in regards to the cars he owns.

He must be quite a character..

I guess it is just metal in the end... :'(

Troy

At least it doesn't have a Chevy engine... ;)

Heck, people get polarized around here if you stick an R/T badge on a "regular" Charger. It doesn't take too much. :D

terrible one

That car must have been real pretty back in it's day! White with blue guts!

THE CHARGER PUNK

U do know that he made it 4x4 due to the fact the frame was gone/rusted and that was the only way 2 save it (remember it was the 80's)
and id like 2 see you insult the superbird he made with the nose and wing made by him from scratch including the installing the sun roof and painting it himself :yesnod:-MATT

Brado

Well, that was some of the insight I was lookin for...  I guess I went a little far calling him an SOB.. Hey, I've been called worse.. so sorry if I stepped on someone's toes.
Call me an a$$ or whatever, but don't try and give me a guilt trip for what I said.  I'm sure there are others out there who have saved their cars in similar situations...and they didn't need to turn it into a swamp buggy to do it.   The Superbird looks nice..

I don't believe anyone as laying a guilt trip on you. Just making observations.

I sense a guilt trip.....like I should be ashamed of myself for insulting.  I understand the guy is talented (no argument there), but really..why the 4x4 under the charger?

Mean 318

to each their own! I see people let cars rot all the time, at least he is enjoying them!

There was a time in the 80's when 4X4 conversions were making a little headway in the popularity contest.

Of course people can say and do whatever pleases them.  As I am sure you know, with that comes consequences.  There are folks here, including myself that say foolish things and other members waste no time in pointing them out, and that's OK.   :yesnod:

My first observation with regards to this thread, was the fact that you are relatively new here, which is also OK, however coming on a bit strong is somewhat frowned upon.  I'm not saying you need to tip toe around as you get to know everyone and their personalities but keep in mind there are members here that have known each other for quite some time and will come to the aide of others if need be.  There are a few members that continually put their foot in their mouths by spouting off the first thoughts that come to mind and then are shocked with the barage of insults that are hurled at them in retaliation.  Some learn, some don't.

Stick around and share your thoughts, insights and experiences in this hobby with us and get to know the regular members and their personalities and their appreciation for humour and you'll have a good time.
