Just because you haven't seen much on Bruce Willis' car, you automatically think he is a "johnny come lately". How would you know?

How would I know? I don't. How would you know he is some die hard Charger guy?

Sorry gang, I don't get all wet when I see Bruce Willis or Hulk Hogan jumping in their Chargers. If you think they are true fans of Mopar, then so be it. I'm more of a reality based type of person though.

Forget his name but the base player for Type O Negative has a 70 Super Bee.

His name is Peter Steele. I know that Johnny Kelly from Type O is also into Mopars. I saw him at the English Town NJ swap meet several years back. In fact my friend Lisa got a pic of him and herself in my buddies Challeneger convertible. Pretty sweet. I'll try to scan it in later. Don't know how well it'll work since the photo is enlarged to 8x11.

Also, I dont know if this qualifys Johnny Carson as a Mopar guy, but I remember reading once that after he became big (in the late 70's I think) he actually tracked down the old family Chrysler or Desoto 30's Airflow that his folks owned when he was growing up in Iowa. He had it restored and I guess always owned it after. Ive heard similar other things about Johnny and his nostalgic side, always doing things for his old home town and not forgeting his roots. Too bad more celebrities are not more like this today.... :icon_smile_cool:

Former US Senator from Texas, John Tower, was well known for keeping a (1972?) Charger as his personal vehicle... even had it restored while still in office.  Somewhere I have a newspaper clipping showing the Senator with his favorite car.

I just "googled" the subject, and found this: http://www.hpumc.org/files/111006.pdf

Looks like the Charger may have sold late last year in a local (Dallas) charity auction!  I wish I had known about it...

Chris, I wouldn't put Gordie Johnson down as a come lately, he's been into Mopars for a long time and went to the trouble to get a Charger in most of Big Sugar's videos as well as have album titles like Hemi-Vision and feature pics of his cars on album covers.
David Spade has been into Mopars for a long time too which is why he wanted them in his Joe Dirt movie.  Last I heard, he had a Six Barrrel Road Runner.
Bob Seger was always a Chevy guy but he did buy a Dodge pickup truck street rod about two years ago.

Gordie actually grew up in Western Canada where his dad worked at a Chrysler dealer so his love for MOPARS has been a long love. He says his dad drove home some pretty sweet MOPARS back in the late 60's and early 70's. As for being a celebrity he is to us up here....hence my handle on here which is a great song. He has a 66 Charger and a 70 Charger 500

Here's the video link where which is shot in Detroit Michigan across from Gordies home in Windsor ontario...the car is a buddy of his..

Not 100% certain; but I believe Mickey Rourke owned a Road Runner.  Jay Leno also has a few Mopars, including a turbine car.  As far as I can tell, he collects everything.  Here's the website; http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/

Peter (now deceased) restored his own cars. Between tours he would lock himself up in his garage and work on projects. Restore cars, furniture, build stuff. he really liked working with his hands. His favorite vehicle was this 80s GM. He owned it forever, drove the wheels off it, and completely restored it a few years before he died.

well, there must be hundreds of these country-music "superstars" that no-one outside US has ever heard of. succesfull musician, I am sure, but not a celebrity in my book. even OCC guys or wwf wrestlers are more known in europe but nevermind.

I read an article about Bruce Willis a LOONG time ago, in playboy. there he just talked about his 66 vette. nice to see his taste has improved.

If my memory serves I think Richard Petty had a couple mopars hahaha
