Paint tomorow / final update

This is how it looks in primer. The painter has it perfectly straight. He has had it since October. It is an original triple black car and I'm keeping it black.

Well it still not done but there is progress to show. The black primer is on, you can see the bulge and rallye stripes are painted black silver. The rest of the car will be black and I'm hoping the black silver will be very subtle and not the noticed at first glance. He plans to lay out the hood and door tape / mask and have it all black tonight.

The body is done. Rich is color sanding and buffing out now. Still needs to paint the front and rear valance and the rear spoiler. Hot Wheels the shop that's painting it is 50 miles from the house so I'll be going over Friday and will get more pictures. I will be helping him Saturday put it back together. I'm jacked a can't wait.

Last one until tomorrow, plan to get the widows in and finish color sanding it. Get some stainless and chrome on it and that will realy wake it up.

The hood and rallye doors turned out perfect, very subtle where they won't be noticed at first but they should catch your eye in the sun shine.

5 Gallons of Black & Clear. Plan to tint the windows dark. Think I'll call the color "Bad Ass Black"

Still need to install the front valance, chin spoiler, hood pins, emblems, wheel lips, trunk lock, rear spoiler, quarter window stainless and rubber seals.

Need to re-order the side window cat whiskers. Ordered 73-74 by mistake. I also need to get the rattle can paint off the grill so Rich can paint them. Any ideas on how?

Got the car home tonight. The 58 mile drive went good, no rock flipped up and it did not rain until I was 5 miles from home. The car is complete except the grill. It will be done by the end of the week. All that is left to do is tint the widows, install the headliner, put the interior back in, new tires on the back and it is ready for fun in the summer sun.

I want to change wheels and tires but that will need to wait until next year. I am going to change the rear tires from R50 to R60 to fill the wheel well a little better.
I plan to put 18"wheels on it by next year. Don't know what brand. Its tough to pick out wheels.
Thanks for all the compliments on the car. I have waited along time to get this done. All our kids are out of collage, married and moved on so it was time.
