Bought my 1971 318 right before X-Mas and am looking forward to the spring to get it out and about.  Quick question: The exhaust on it now is, I believe, original and seems to make a lot of noise underneath the car.  Not sure if everything is secured.  Any suggestions on what to replace this with?  Looking for a dependable exhaust system that will also make some noise but not a ton of noise and I don't want to spend a mint.  Also a suggestion on the tips?  Something that looks cool !!  Let me know if you've got ideas, suggestions, etc...  Thanks!!!

Thanks for the reply.  Do you have a website you can send me for them?
THanks!

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Summit has a complete dual exhaust with mufflers from the headers back for $199. I'm not sure what they sound like. I'd be curious to hear from anyone that has used them. I'm thinking about using this on my 318.

If you don't have headers you would have to make up the front pipes.
